I worked with John Barragry with Miller & Stevens Law on a couple family and personal items, including estate planning. He was very efficient and effective with his time and efforts. I have referred him out to several family members and friends and highly recommend him to anyone. Great service, great experience.
We couldn't be happier and more impressed with the help we received from Miller and Stevens Law! Vince and Kristin were extremely knowledgeable and helpful with all of our needs, every step of the way. They communicated everything so well and easy for us to understand. I would highly recommend them with any of your legal questions or needs. Thank you so much for all your help.
I had the misfortune of meeting with Patrick Doran today. My mother was a client with this firm and had her end-of-life documents drafted here. She passed away this week, and I had several questions regarding her affairs that I needed some guidance on. Her attorney at the firm had retired and was paired with Patrick. He entered the meeting empty-handed and began perusing documents. At one point, I attempted to mention that my mother was both divorced AND her ex was deceased, but I was interrupted by Patrick, being told "Will you just let me read this, please?" Several minutes later, I had the chance to mention he was deceased, he responded with surprise and I said, "I tried to say that a few minutes ago but you told me to be quiet." He started to say that he felt "personally attacked" and that he was "helping me out by doing ALL THIS for FREE." I didn't ask for anything to be free. I was under the impression that my mother had this firm under retainer and was a client of theirs. One would think he would have pulled her file and familiarized himself with her documents before meeting with me, but he did not, telling me, "How am I supposed to know who your mom was and what she did here." I eventually DID become belligerent and walked out. Reading other Google reviews, it appears that this is not an isolated incident either. One final note, their probate questionnaire document contained several typos. It's clear that attention to detail is not high on their priority list, which is not something I'd want in my law firm. I can't speak for the firm as a whole, but as a representative, this individual was rude and unprofessional.
I had a terrible experience with Vince Stevens law office. I went there to request assistance in helping my mother due to her cognitive issues. Mr. Stevens was not versed in the area of law necessary to accomplish this task. Instead of informing me of his inadequate knowledge, he proceeded with legal actions that were unnecessary. Later it was necessary to spend an enormous amount of money and time to correct his actions with a different attorney. Mr. Stevens should have shared with me at the first appointment, that he was not experienced in that particular area of law. I would not recommend him for any legal services due to his actions.
I have used Miller & Stevens Law a few times and have always found Vince Stevens to be a professional and ethical attorney. The staff and other attorneys are very good as well. I have and will continue to recommend them to my friends and family.
