Mn Attorney Gen'L Office

I filed a complaint with this office against a company called Arrows Heart Animal Rescue and its owner Randi Smelser after Ms. Smelser did not respond to any of our emails or telephone calls asking for her help in locating my two dogs Lovee and Reina. Unfortunately, despite our consistent pleas the Attorney General's Office did not help us for reasons we are unaware as we filed a complaint against this office with Senator Al Franken's office who was very helpful and requested their office to assist in directing us properly allowing us to address the matter further. I would like to say we have been lied to on a number of occasions by employees and supervisors on a number of occasions while asking for their assistance who refused and were forced to contact Senator Franken's office to ask for his help.

I became hypothyroid 25 years ago. I was prescribed synthroid (name brand) because I could not take the generic medication for this disorder.nAfter 25 years of allowing me to pay the generic rate for the name brand medication, Blue Cross decided to charge me full freight in 2017.nnI asked them to reconsider, followed all complaint protocols. My insurance policy clearly stated that the name brand was permissable in my situation. They denied my requests (after failing to meet their self-imposed response deadlines).nnI contacted the AG's office and was put in contact with Matt Kessler.nAfter several months of diligence and intelligent follow through, he was able to get Blue Cross to honor the contract they had made with me. Without his advocacy, I doubt that I could have gotten them to honor the clear dictates of the contract. He always returned my phone calls and kept me in the loop. nnI am very grateful for Matt's hard work and for this brilliant agency. The founder's understood the potential powerlessness of an individual in the face of a powerful corporate entity--regardless of how in the right the individual might be. This goes a long way to restore my faith in our government, the commons, why we pay taxes, and public service. Great good on all of you!
