3 separate intake appointments over the course of a week. A lawyer calls today and spends less than 5 minutes with me. He had clearly not read any of the intake information, and then he said, I don't think this is a case we can take, but let me give you a number to lodge a discrimination complaint. What?! He kept saying it wasn't legal for me to smoke in my own apartment even though the complex allows it and so does the lease as long as it doesn't disrupt the "peacable enjoyment of others." Complete waste of time. I am literally just looking for a housing attorney. I'd even be willing to pay.

Now you have to belong to the LGBT community in order to get help. I never felt so discriminated. I Had always shown my respect and acceptance to all members of the LGBT community, but this is very disappointing....

I contacted them regarding the continuation of care for my father who was a long term acute hospital care patient. The lawyer Rebecca played phone tag as my family and I were between the hospital and home. Then they switched to someone named Tom, because of "gender" issues. Again, that had nothing to do with the illness and medical legal needs of my father. Tom was rude and did not provide any assistance whatsoever. He only criticized me even though my father's health insurance, Medicare stated clearly that medical malpractice had happened. Please avoid these people with all costs, they have no sincere care for any seniors in this state, nor their families. UPDATE 10/19/2022, received a letter from Medicare, US Federal Government stating that the initial surgery that my father had did not meet any professional health standards for any medical condition as there was no documentation supporting the procedure before or after. Furthermore, a PA did not contact any treating physician, nor the primary HCP. When I contacted Tom, he simply insulted me although it was clear that a patient who can breath on his own and saturate oxygen at 94% did not require any mechanical ventilation. Please read these words and DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. Put them under massive amounts of scrutiny if you EVER HAVE worked with them as they clearly do not have any intent to help any person in New York State.

I called at 4:30 on a Friday afternoon, provided my basic info and my rental question. Was told I'd be contacted. I never expected it would be within a half hour! An attorney called and clearly stated the answers to my questions. Very, very satisfied for such timely, professional FREE legal service. THANK YOU.

Having a hard time getting in touch with the person assigned to my case. I have emailed him and provided all documents that were requested of me and have heard nothing back. I was denied reasonable accommodations and only have a year to file a complaint. My year is up in October and I've been seeking help since May of this year. This is super frustrating and not the first time I've had difficulty using these services.
