Blonder and this firm should be ashamed at the earnings they made over the Ticketmaster/Live Nation class action, wherein the terms of the settlement agreement favored Ticketmaster far more than the defendants. With the agreement stating Ticketmaster has a maximum to pay, and with Ticketmaster not providing enough events to allow defendants to claim free tickets, Ticketmaster is forcing defendants to instead use a discount of $2.25 per ticket until Ticketmaster reaches the maximum they have to pay; thereby, many Defendants will never have the opportunity to claim their free tickets. A $2.25 discount on Ticketmaster tickets, with junk fees being super inflated, is a bonus to Ticketmaster as Ticketmaster is still making a profit, and this law firm is forcing people to consume product from Ticketmaster to collect their settlement. In other words, defendants are forced to give even more profit to the company who screwed them. With the defendant most likely bringing a guest to a concert, Ticketmaster comes out ahead. While it sounds as though Ticketmaster is paying a high amount, in essence, the profits they will make are far more. What does $2.25 off of junk fees benefit a defendant? What is the point of offering free tickets, when free tickets are not made available to everyone because Ticketmaster will meet the maximum before providing tickets. There are so few tickets in fact, that when they are made available, they are gone within days. The only people who benefit from this agreement are the attorneys, who I presume made millions, and Ticketmaster, who is forcing people to use their service as part of the settlement, providing no free tickets to most people, and providing crappy concerts for most of the free tickets that are made available. This is the worst example of a class action settlement wherein the attorneys provided little-to-no benefit to the defendant, and actually helped the plaintiff. Greed.
