As it happens, my siblings and I had to sit outside the funeral home during the service for my late uncle, which is normal as are Kohanim. Usually funeral homes that cater to Jewish clients have a speaker system so people who have to remain outside can hear the service, but the speaker system at this place was broken. Additionally they had us sitting in the sun and near an area of the building where there was what seemed to be a broken water pipe that was gushing water. Boulevard-Riverside-Hewlett charged us upwards of $15,000 for a Jewish funeral and they give us very little in terms of comfort or convenience. More recently a dear neighbor passed away while I was out of town and, while they claim to have a webcasting service, so loved ones who can't physically attend can watch and listen to the eulogies and services, their webcasting service was not working. Very disappointed.
