I found out 6 years after inheriting my dad’s home that they did not file essential paperwork that would have put the home solely in my name. I recently sold that home, and had to pay to have a notary from the title company go to my brother to sign over his claim. Something he had already done prior, years ago, but apparently Best and Spruill failed to have it filed correctly. Fortunately, my relationship with my brother is a good one and we got it worked out, but it was a hassle, and this situation had potential to be a nightmare. So, thanks for that. ????
