They leave you in the dark about your case until you ask, then they charge you for every question. I signed a contract with them because Jeff set great expectations in our first meeting. In the end, I paid nearly double and the case took 4x longer than expected. When I asked why the cost was exceeding expectations, I was put off for weeks to months. Ultimately, I just paid more and more to get the case finished without ever learning why or hearing back from Jeff. I did all the negotiations, arrangements, and serving without any help from his office. They wrote the forms and delivered them to the court. I have since learned that the forms were poorly written and do not secure the settlement that we arranged. If you have a simple divorce, you are better off saving your money and doing it on your own. For something more complicated, use an attorney; just not this one.

Perry Newman and his support staff were amazing to work with during such a difficult time. They were caring, quick to respond to emails or phone calls, and walked me through each step of the process. I highly recommend them!

I have retained many attorneys in my career because of the nature of my businesses. I feel as is Jeffrey Hensley and his firm have been hands down the worst I’ve ever dealt with unfortunately. It seemed like they were constantly bombarding me with billing but when it came time to answering questions or actually doing work they were not responsive. One of their employees Tracy has a serious attitude problem. She was very belittling and degrading every time I had the misfortune to have to communicate with her I felt. It was very insulting to me. It’s my opinion that their invoices we vague at best. When I communicated with Jeffrey Hensley the couple of times I did, I felt as if he had no clue what was going on with my case. The first time we spoke he mentioned that we were all done with the case and we had just started. Later when I asked specific questions on a case update he was totally off. I truly feel like I’ve been scammed. It seems to me they took a TON of my money and did very little. Every time I called to complain about the status of my claim of why I was being charged another 1000 dollars again they would threaten with dropping out of my case. They literally filed a motion to withdraw one time without me ever approving of it. The only reason I knew it was happening was because I got an email. I feel it was 100% done out of spite because I was complaining about the lack of work being done on my case. I am filing a formal investigation with the state of Oklahoma. There is a lot more that transpired but this info should be enough to make people do their research very well before hiring an attorney. It’s too bad that law firms take advantage of people when they are in a time of need and most vulnerable. Apex predators. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Very heartbreaking experience. Jeff is not a fighter by any means for his clients. Any time I had questions about my case, he would need me to explain what I was talking about, because he clearly didn’t read through the paperwork. Having to explain my wants/expectations to him every time we communicated became extremely frustrating. Not to mention, there were two occasions when we had a phone call scheduled, but he “forgot”. When I got the invoice, I was charged for the email he sent apologizing for missing the appointment.....I had to pay $60 for him to apologize to me. When I brought it up after the second time, there was no offer of refunding or crediting my account. He is all about money. Period. The only communication they are good at is collecting money. Otherwise, it’s pretty minimal. His office manager, Tracy, is one of the most unprofessional people I ever met. She has a terrible attitude!! The worst interaction with Jeff was when I really needed him to fight for me (not with me) and while on a phone call with him, I was explaining what was going on with the ex and what I needed from him, but because I was upset and crying and wouldn’t let him interrupt me, he hung up on me....my attorney hung up on me. When I called back, he answered “are you going to let me talk now?”. I just needed him to hear my concerns, but his clients mean nothing to him. He knows he will make the same amount of money if he wins or loses so he doesn’t even try to fight. Before you hire Jeff, read his reviews. It seems all the negative ones have common issues. And pay attention to how he airs his clients dirty laundry when responding to a bad review. That alone should tell you the level of professionalism you will deal with. No attorney should talk about specifics of a clients case on a public platform. EDIT: AFTER SUBMITTING MY REVIEW, MR. HENSLEY EDITED HIS RESPONSE TO OTHER REVIEWS AND REMOVED THE PERSONAL INFORMATION HE DISCUSSED PUBLICLY, HOWEVER, I HAD ALREADY TAKEN SCREENSHOTS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE NECESSARY AGENCIES.

Scheduled a phone consultation with Mr. Hensley. He was 2 hours late for the appointment. When I finally talked with him he just rushed and didn’t give me the courtesy of explaining to him what was going on and literally cut me off after 10 minutes. I paid $150 for a 30 minute consultation. I will not do business with him.
