We picked Michael to help us with our estate plan and we're very glad we did. We had very little knowledge about the available options and he did an excellent job explaining the pros and cons. When we decided to go with a trust he was again very thorough and answered any questions we had and let us make our own informed decisions. We highly recommend him.
Hi Everyone, My wife and I were interested in getting a will, trust, financial power of attorney and medical power of attorney for our family. We had reached out to Michael Pippenger to get assistance with these critical documents for our family. Michael went out of his way to walk us through each document to ensure we understood all the content in the document. He prepared surveys to help us collect the right information and have discussions on how we would like to have each document prepared. Michael also setup a signing session with notaries and help file all of our beneficiary deeds for our real estate to ensure everything went into the trust properly. Michael also provided us with information on how to properly fund the trust and make sure everything was in order. Michael has a heart of a teacher and is willing to explain everything to you even when you have lots of questions. He made the entire process totally painless and helped our family prepare for the future. By far, I would highly recommend Michael to all my family and friends in leveraging him in preparing their will, trust and powers of attorney. You will not be disappointed. He is AWESOME!!! -Steve
Michael was absolutely a pleasure to work with. Is very helpful , answered all our questions no matter how many we had. Overall great experience and highly recommend.
Let’s face it, estate planning is not a subject or activity any of us want to do. The whole foundation of creating a trust / will / healthcare directive is having to address how our final states of life are handled and how to protect our money from probate after our death to mitigate taxes is not usually high on the “to-do” list. The process is incredibly involved, complicated and energy consuming, but absolutely critical for anyone that wants to ensure their wishes are followed through in the case of an expected / unexpected demise. With that as a baseline, finding the right estate lawyer is critical. The lawyer must be able to present this complex legal framework in a way that can be understood and really provide a clear pathway to help you transition your accounts into your new trust once completed. I initiated my estate planning with Michael Pippenger just as the pandemic kicked into gear. This certainly added an additional layer of complexity in the process, but throughout the discussions, Michael’s responses were always extremely timely and presented in a way that was easily comprehended. I had lots of questions and Michael addressed every concern of mine even if it took me a couple times to process. Since I work in technology, I truly appreciated how easy it was to schedule meetings, set up a web conference and review / distribute versions of all the estate documents. Big kudos for how Michael has automated many of the mundane administrative functions so he can concentrate on working on the key elements of the estate plan. I have nothing but praise and respect for Michael’s capabilities. His financial background prior to becoming a lawyer was also invaluable in terms of understanding which accounts needed to be updated under the new trust and those that should not. He also provided a lot of guidance in terms of changing my previous trust from California to my new one in Colorado. If you are in the process of trying to find and select an estate attorney, I highly recommend you set up an introductory meeting with Michael. I’m sure he will impress you as much as he did me from the first meeting to completion of all my estate documents.
Michael was truly a joy to work with while planning our estate. While not a fun subject, it is refreshing to find someone who truly enjoys his job and provides excellent support and service. Not only is he wonderfully knowledgeable and personable, he was really thoughtful and supportive thru the whole process. He sent clear, actionable reminders, was professional and really encouraged us to engage fully in the process and make some tough decisions with knowledge and a full understanding of the process and the laws. I would absolutely recommend Michael and his firm if you ever needed an attorney plan for your estate. What a find and a great resource. Thank you Michael!
