Sick and tired of having to call in asking for help and only gets greeted by an attitude by someone who uses the online system every single day and only has to know ONE on-line portal system. I kept telling the gentleman on the phone that i apologize for frustrating him but this was my FIRST time using their portal to pull permits. Please learn to be patient; individuals who have to file permits for companies have to learn over 20 + online portal systems in all cities and jurisdictions. Horrible service - please replace the individual that answers the e plan review line at the building dept and move him to a dept that does not require him to help customers over the phone.
Belinda in the Building Department is the most helpful person in the Building Department, a refreshing change of pace from previous experiences. An asset to the Department
I have been calling to check on permits , and no one answers the phones, they ring ring ring and cuts you off. you can keep calling and it happens over and over.
The online system is difficult to use and they are basically mandating that everyone use it. (Which would be okay if they answered the phone and offered any support while people learned it.) Also, the majority of the staff are rude and self righteous. It may be simple to them. They use ONE system every day. Have some empathy for the people who use many and need a bit of help! I cringe every time I know I have to call or use the system!
I don’t normally post reviews for public services but it’s rare to get treated so nicely, I just had to. Just left the building and zoning department. I went to ask for the records to my house. The employees were so friendly and professional. And they were patient in helping me find what I needed. Great customer service. Thanks.
