Founded by partners Samuel Pond, Jerry Lehocky, David Stern, and Thomas Giordano Jr., the law firm of Pond Lehocky Stern Giordano opened its doors in July 2010 with six attorneys and only 22 total staff members. Today, as the largest workers' compensation and Social Security disability law firm in the region, Pond Lehocky boasts 12 office locations and over 200 staff members.

Since opening with five Pennsylvania workers' compensation attorneys and only one Social Security disability attorney, the firm has grown to more than 30 attorneys in all. Pond Lehocky’s office locations have also greatly increased: from the firm’s original office location in Center City, Philadelphia, the firm has opened 11 additional offices throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and California.

Pond Lehocky’s Social Security disability department has grown tremendously, having assisted thousands of people in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. In January 2015, the Social Security disability department became Disability Justice. Disability Justice is a Social Security disability (SSD) advocacy group that assists those who wish to file for SSD by providing excellent customer service, access to top-quality legal representation and educational resources. As an advocacy group, the company focuses its political action efforts solely on issues that affect SSD.

Pond Lehocky’s meteoric rise has been accompanied by a plethora of accolades and accomplishments that highlight both the firm’s expertise and its impact in the legal community, and the firm’s founding partners have led the charge. Notably, Sam Pond’s negotiation of a $3 million dollar settlement stands among the highest in workers' compensation ever awarded in Pennsylvania. Partner Jerry Lehocky’s efforts in co-authoring a bill that created the “Uninsured Employers Guaranty Fund” (a fund which provides workers' compensation benefits to injured workers whose employers do not carry workers' compensation insurance) helped to create the first pro-workers' piece of Pennsylvania workers' compensation legislation in more than 30 years.

Additionally, Pond Lehocky has been named to U.S. News and World Report’s Best Law Firms list in the ‘Tier 1’ group for workers' compensation, the highest classification. Partners Sam Pond, Jerry Lehocky, and David Stern have all been named to The Best Lawyers in America list and the Super Lawyers® list as well. Also, partner Thomas Giordano Jr. has been continually recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® Rising Star, along with several other Pond Lehocky attorneys.

Pond Lehocky has also been consistently recognized as one of the region’s best workplaces. Philly.com has named the firm one of the Top Workplaces in the region, and the U.S. News and World Report and Best Lawyers®  named the firm one of the 2016 Best Law Firms for Metropolitan Tier 1, Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation Law –Claimants.

Free Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury Evaluation

"If there was 0 or negative ratings that's what this would be, unsatisfied and left with a life long permanent injury with a settlement that got everyone paid... Lawyers, recommended Doctors, Specialists,Therapists and left me short. The Staff is nice and pleasant but that's their job to be and I expect them to be knowledgeable but not always the so when asked specifics on certain aspects of my case. The actual Lawyer who's name is on the plaque never once appeared to a proceeding to personally handle the case as far as I know or seen, and losing a significant portion of the case. I don't feel my best interest was at stake here. And if you owe any debts just know that will be taken from any award you my be given (there will be a significant percentage taken and paid directly to debtor ie: child support or others... just so you're aware). Do your due diligence in information as best you can so you know what your talking about when hiring a lawyer... I learned just a little too late and have to live with the decisions and outcome by choosing the wrong firm."

"This law firm has taken care of me for SS Disability and Workman's Comp. If it wasn't for them, I would have sunken low in depression and finances. When my WC came through, I was finally able to get my life back and in order with my bills. They were always professional and caring to my needs. I cannot say enough about how the treated me with respect and did exactly what they said they would. To sum up, they saved me. I will refer them to anyone who needs this kind of help.nJanet Nicholson"
