If I could give 0 stars I would! Absolutely disappointed! They handled my husbands case, it took them 7 YEARS and a lot of money for them to tell nothing could be done! Not once did I meet with the lawyer which I thought was weird. They only wanted our money and helped in nothing. Please save your money finde someone better, especially if it has to do with immigration. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Please do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY. Knowingly took a case my relative had 0 chance of winning, charged him thousands, dragged it for years only for the case to be lost and to be told we never had a right to anything. Absolutely disgusting unethical behavior. Was given legal advice by his paralegal Debbi (which is illegal and we will be reporting) that was awful and ruined a lot of the case. Was quick to take money, was nonexistent when help was needed. I don’t understand how his “work” isn’t considered theft. SLIMY, DISGUSTING, AND LAZY work is all that happens in this office. PLEASE STAY AWAY.

CHUCK PORTZ does not even try to listen to your situation he only understands money. Do Not waste your money on Chuck !! Will not return calls and Doesn't send you what he sends on your behalf. Do not trust him like we did especially if it has anything to do with property issues don't go to this guy. I wasted my money with Chuck Portz.

It is our strong belief that Charles "Chuck" Portz has failed to fulfill the duties that he was hired (and paid) to do. In addition, there is an abundance of evidence that the attorney's communication with us has been at least negligent, if not outright dishonest. Ultimately, we paid Chuck Portz close to $6,000 for essentially ZERO outcome in our disputes. He ignored dozens of our requests, emails, phone calls over more than two months and a half. Charles Portz charged us for filling our second case under a wrong entity. And, not advising us that we could file the case with our insurance company. He was very unprofessional handling our cases. Much of what he considered his "deliverables" were documents that we had sent him in the first place. As a proof of his work to State Bar of Texas- Client attorney assistance program, he mailed us all the documents that we had been provided to him to review- indicating that we were unaware of these documents! The undue burden of time, stress, and frustration we've endured because of this attorney has well surpassed those of the disputes we hired him to help us with in the first place. We have been fortunate to know many honest and reputable attorneys. In this case, however, our hope in writing this review is to warn others of the immense lack of care and decency shown to us in this matter by attorney Chuck Portz. It is our opinion that he should be disbarred.

Very disappointing. Chuck Portz was never fully engaged. Our case dragged out for two years because he never took the initiative to push for a meeting with the senior lawyer on the other side. In the end, it became clear that a young, ambitious but not very capable attorney on the other side had messed up the case. We were the ones who could not continue construction of our house for that reason. There was a fraudulent lien against our house that needed to be removed first. In the end, it was removed - but the long stop of construction almost brought us to our knees, financially. - We finally consulted another law firm in downtown Houston and they could not believe how Chuck Portz had handled our matter. His inactivity was the biggest issue. He could have pushed for a meeting with the senior lawyer of the other side in the early stages of the case. Although the case was finally settled in our favor, we still had to pay part of the other side’s lawyer fees because our opponent had ran out of funds. The senior lawyer on the other side was upset the moment he realized how this case had been dragged on by his own firm and had been mishandled by his own associate. - We never felt Mr. Portz was fully engaged but was rather indifferent. - Disappointing and very damaging for us.
