I had the pleasure of meeting Rory last week. I wish I didn't need his expertise, however, I do. I have seen a few different attorneys this past year and no one had made me feel as comfortable and secure as Mr. Coetzee. I highly recommend him, should you need an attorney with a wealth of knowledge. Thank you Rory. I look forward to working with you!! SC
Rory Coetzee is an excellent attorney, who is very knowledgeable, experienced, attentive, responsive, practical in his approach, proactive and true advocate for your position. His guidance and counsel through the process was very much appreciated. Rory's staff was always polite and responsive with questions and inquiries.
Rory and the entire team at RSC Law Group have been a pleasure to work with! They have offered sound legal advice throughout the entire process and have protected me in a high stakes divorce from a toxic narcissist who has had no intention of negotiating in good faith. The professionalism, follow up, communication and advice have all been top notch! I highly recommend working with RSC Law Group!
Im thrilled to share my experience with the RSC law Group. If I could, I would give them 10 stars! They have an outstanding customer service. My lawyer, Tyler Gesbeck is awesomeeeee! Having them for almost a year, I can confidently say that the entire team has been attentive and ensuring that I'm always in the loop with my case. Tyler has been transparent and understanding every step of the way. As a veteran himself, he comprehends the complexities of military life, which has been instrumental for me as an Air Force reservist facing custody battles and being activated. Unlike my past legal representations, RSC Law group truly listens and addresses my concerns, making me feel supported rather than just another client. Their commitment is evident, making my investment worth it. A huge thank you to RSC Law Group and Tyler Gesbeck for their professionalism and support!
It’s been over two years now but I was just stewing on my experience. I hired Rory as he appeared to be the best in Monterey. Me and my partner of 23 years were having tough times. Come to find out she was cheating with multiple people and one being a family member. She also was taking my child along. Custody had become an issue and she would never discuss it and thought I had no say because I wasn’t the mother. It all boiled down to one night I found out more indiscretions. So I called for an officer to come and hopefully explain the law to her. It turned into a mess and she flipped out and assaulted me. Then when the police arrived she played the damsel in distress. But openly admitted I didn’t touch her and never have and she in fact did assault me. So I get arrested for domestic violence, child endangerment and she let them into my gun safe so I got illegal assault weapons though fully within the law. I hired one attorney for criminal and one for civil. Rory told me no problem and I would get 50/50 custody. A few days later he then called my ex and talked for an hour costing me $400. Turns out they have friends in common and that’s why they chatted for an hour. He then all of a sudden explained that I was in a bad position. My criminal and civil court dates were the same day and same time. I could only go to one and had to appear for the criminal. He explained I needed to offer her to have visitation three days a week and they would be supervised with my ex. A total of 10 hours a week. Because i was charged with a domestic violence the judge would potentially restrain me from my home and child longer and the civil could not proceed until the criminal was done. I reluctantly agreed as he denied having our conversation at our consultation when he said I would get half custody no problem. As I had been telling everyone I didn’t do anything wrong. Upon appearing in criminal court I found out all charges had been dropped other than the gun charges. I tried to call him over and over to tell him to not offer the agreement and fight. He wouldn’t answer. When I finally got ahold of him he told me I needed to go along with the supervised visits for a few months. I angrily accepted. After a month my ex was not fulfilling and constantly didn’t show and cut the visits short. I told Rory I wanted to fight in court. He told me if I wanted to do that he would not represent me and sub it out to someone else. What a great $7k. He is a dishonest person and I called him out on it but him being a lawyer didn’t fear my threats and wouldn’t refund my money. I won’t say how but before this I saw an email my ex wrote him asking if he could represent her and thanks cause he had helped her out so much. Wow. Paid to represent my ex. He’s a joke and has no ethics at all. I would recommend steering clear though your ex may not have mutual friends I would still stay away.
