Throughout our communications she was always very professional, but more importantly she was kind, helpful and did her very best to help me resolve the issue. She's a true asset to your company. She's the sort of person I would have been pleased to have on my team when I had my own company.

I honestly can not even believe I am on here rating a business that was in the process of suing me but here I am, embarrassed but still leaving a good review... I am beyond mortified that I have this debt and even more so that I was going to be sued over it. I called as soon as I received my paperwork with the option to settle directly with them instead of going to court. I spoke to Leah who was surprisingly compassionate and understanding. Not once did she talk down to me or was rude about the situation or anything. She explained the process and gave me options. She was very down to earth and spoke in very comprehensive language. To be frank if not for Leah answering and being who she is this would be going a whole different way, especially after reading the reviews on google. They do not inspire much confidence in this law firm. But after speaking to Leah and going over everything and her reassuring me about the process, I am actively choosing to trust her and ignore the bad comments.

This is easily the WORST LAW FIRM EVER. They fail to communicate, don’t have an actual office you can go into to talk to a real person, refuse to accept payment of debit card so I’m at the point of having to open a completely separate account somewhere that actually does give you checks to make payments now, bounces you around between call representatives who don’t actually communicate anything to you, and throw apologies around like confetti. Nothing actually gets done with their ANCIENT ways of doing things. One can only hope that they might update their systems to this millennium soon, otherwise they will tank very quickly.

I was contacted tonight by Michelle Romero about an outstanding debt I need to clear. She was extremely patient and kind with all her responses to me and very understanding to my situation. She explained everything very well and helped me to set up an affordable payment plan to get my debt resolved. She made my day as she was helping me achieve my goals of gaining a good credit report again. This was a step in the right direction. Thank You Michelle!!! I am very grateful.

This review is specifically for Erin Shotwell. If I were reviewing the three other Rausch Sturm reps I've talked with, it would not be a five-star review. First I talked with Sophia, who couldn't do anything about my account. Then there was Drew (ext. 416), my official representative unfortunately — the epitome of who-cares, and the personality you think of when you hear "debt collector." I set up a payment arrangement with him while he audibly chuckled (I imagine at me, for being a sucker). Finalizing the arrangement required that he call me back. I never received a call or message back from Drew. So I called back and connected with Travell to finalize the arrangement. When Rausch Sturm failed to honor that arrangement I called back and finally got back in touch with Drew. By his own admission, he screwed up so I was paying off the same account in two different ways, which cost me when it caused my checking account to drop to negative funds. He corrected the error but laughed it off and offered no compensation for the costs incurred upon me. Enter Erin. After some time passed and the understandably slow-moving machinery of these systems processed the corrections of Drew's mistake, I called Rausch Sturm again on 6/14/24 to ensure things were sorted properly. She was patient when I had to put HER on hold to attend to my five-year-old's owie (she's okay now), professional and thorough in reviewing my account and Drew's notes to understand all that had transpired so far, friendly without overstepping in any way, and basically made me feel like I was making a fair business transaction rather than being a delinquent loser overrun by soulless machinery squeezing every possible cent from me. Drew made me want to make Rausch Sturm's job more difficult and costly. Erin made me want to just pay my fair share and get on with my life. In my opinion, that's the best an employee can do in a position like this, dealing with people like me who have made mistakes and don't even want to think about them. A competent, understanding representative can nudge us in the right direction, toward carrying our weight and paying our due.
