When my ex and I sold our after our seperation we went to pick up our checks in that office the receptionnist was very friendly but the lawyer not so much. He did nt bother asking the court order and I even mentioned how much I was getting plus orther details. He totally ignored me. He did nt ask to see any document. After I got my check the reminder was given to my ex an extra that was supposed to go irs. Big mistake they refused to acknolege. As a law firm you should ask for more details. Do not recommmend. Stay away. It is a shame for a such law office to ignore details and uncapable to own your mistake. You did nt ask to see any information I could say anything. The worst office. Now, for your uncompetence and failure to see document before we sign, you gave away $24000 to my ex for a money does not belong to her it was for IRS Well the worst law office ever do not trust. You could defend your failure as much you want. Once again after you failed to do your job you ask me to pay in order to fix your mistake

Very friendly law firm. They helped me with all my first home paperwork and Will took his time and helped me feel confident that I understood everything I was signing. They also have the best rates in town!

This firm is great! First, their fees are way lower than any other I have found. And contrary to the "you get what you pay for" theory, they provide EXCELLENT customer service. Case in point, on 6/26/20 I used them to prepare seller documents. Communication was fabulous, and I was able to go to their office with my wife to sign at our convenience the day before the transaction closed. Unfortunately, the buyer's attorney pulled a fast one on us and notified us late in the day, after buyer had signed, that "due to COVID" they were not processing wire transfers. That's code for "most of us are working remotely and don't feel like going in to the office to initiate a wire." This was despite the fact that the settlement statement they prepared clearly showed a $40 wire transfer fee charged to me. I could have a check overnighted, or I could pick it up. Trust account checks are theoretically good as gold, but I know from experience that most banks would place a hold of 2-10 days due to the size of the check I was receiving. Fortunately, Reed Law understood my predicament and agreed to accept my proceeds via check made payable to their trust account, and they in turn sent me a wire transfer. Now that's customer service! Above and beyond! And it is why I as a Realtor recommend this law firm to all my clients and anyone else in need of legal services.

I have been in the real estate business in Asheville for 27 years. William Reed is my primary closing attorney. They always give excellent customer service, are very responsive, have a great staff, and their fees are reasonable. I always recommend them to all of my clients.
