Should have read the Google reviews first. Rhett had our payment and our signed, notarized divorce papers for 8 weeks before he filed them. It was only after a very pissed-off phone call that he finally filed the papers. He’s a nice guy, but not so great on the follow-through or communication.

I engaged Mr Weires to handle my divorce largely because he sold me that he understood something that other lawyers didn't. He assured me that I had a chance to reduce my crazy, out of proportion payments. Things ticked right along, through $5000. One procedural court appearance later, we were into another $5000. He began to get difficult to get to on the phone; almost impossible, in fact - and I had decisions that had to be made. I got a lot of "Hey buddy, how's it going". Then, the coup de grace: my wife's lawyer sent paperwork for final approval. Instead of using his experience to guide me and direct me to accept the offer, he said let's reject it "and see what happens". What happened was my wife became incensed and doubled the time period of the alimony payout. Could I fight it? Sure, but now Mr Weires wasn't so sure that we actually would prevail in a court case. And by the way, your out of money on your account and we'll need another $5000. I had no choice but to pull the plug and accept the inflated alimony agreement. Other than filling out the paperwork, the outcome was just about the same as if I had never had a lawyer at all.

I am so disappointed in the service I received with Rhett. He never finished any of my divorce paperwork over a two year span. But what's more disappointing is that he told me he filed them and never did! Called numerous times to his cell and office and no return calls. Had to shell out another $2,500 for a new lawyer to file my papers. Shame on Rhett! Be very careful! Would not recommend!!!!

Mr. Weires was phenominal. He is very well versed in the law. I have used his services in 2 different court cases and prevailed in both. In one of the cases, he helped me manuver through a messy divorce and custody battle. To sum up the almost 4 year ordeal in a nut shell and to show how good he is; I am a man, living in NY and I now have custody of my 3 daughters. If you know anything about NY and its courts then you know how powerful that statement is. He is very easy going and explains legal jargin in normal terms. Straight shooter that tells you like it is. You may not always like what he has to say but he has your best interest in mind. Very responsive and does not bleed you dry with misc or bogus charges like some attorneys. I cannot thank him enough for all he did for me and my family. Highly recommend.

I would select a zero if I could. He never finished my divorce. Stopped receiving my phone calls and texts for the last 3 weeks. Then when I found a new lawyer, I found out that he went to court twice without informing me. I don't even know what was discussed at these two court dates. Don't use him!!!!!!!
