Richard has been a tremendous help to my family and my company. He helped my Japanese future wife and children receive H1Vs and green cards and has helped several friends with the immigration process. He was instrumental in helping one of key employees receive her green card. He is kind, thorough and very knowledgeable. I recommend him to everyone I know who has immigration concerns.
I handle immigration needs for my company, and I have worked with Dick for over 8 years. Dick has handled a variety of visa/immigration types for us including H1B, TN, and green card applications. He is very thorough. In fact, our first green card recruitment process was audited by the DOL, and we passed with flying colors due to Dick being very specific about the documentation that I needed to keep. I would highly recommend him for your immigration needs. He is also very reasonably priced!
I used Richard as my immigration attorney and was very pleased. He and his staff (Sue is awesome) were extremely knowledgable, helpful and supportive during the process. I started working with him about 7 years ago when applying for my first green card, which he successfully completed for me. Last year I worked with him again when I decided to apply for US citizenship. He was able to expertly navigate the complex formula of retaining German (dual) citizenship while obtaining US citizenship that most immigration lawyers would not be aware of. What especially impressed me is that several of the immigration officers at the Detroit Immigration Bureau were specifically aware of him and said that they really liked working with his clients due to Richards competence, reputation of honesty and organization of their files. This time again, he successfully completed the challenge and I am now a dual US / German citizen. I also want to mention that I thought his pricing and billing practices were very fair and quite cost effective in comparison to other foreign national friends who had hired immigration attorneys and shared their experiences with me. Due to Richard I have been able to fulfill my dream of US citizenship and have been able to cease so many economic opportunities that would have otherwise not been possible, I can't thank him enough for the help he provided.
Mr. Pierce represented my employment based 485 application and I got green card for me and for my family. My application was not an easy one, expected lot of hurdles and might not possible with other attorneys. He took 3-4 weeks to review and collected lot of material to understand himself first about my case/situation and he asked me to submit the supplementary documents which will go with the application. He anticipates what are probable hurdles and prepares you. He knows exactly what need to be done before we go for the interview, prepares himself and you. I felt very comfortable with him entire period of my application processing and during the interview. He is very experienced person, friendly and honest person. He is very professional in service and charges reasonable. He attends emails, phone calls on the same day. Sometimes he may forget few minute things about your case due to heavy work load, just need to remind him. But this is common in many busy attorneys. I suggest you write down everything what he is suggesting about the documents needed to be submitted with the application and about fees/payment time and methods, so that everybody will be on the same page. I recommend Mr. Pierce for all green card related services. I can say that you won’t get the best representative as compare to Mr. Pierce in any green card related cases.
Due to an emergency my father has to go out of US during his green card application. I called USCIS and various lawyer to see how we can do this ASAP without abandoning the application, and no one gave me any real good suggestion, until I called Richard. Richard, after asking a few very straight-to-the-point questions, told me that the best chance we have is to go straight to the service center on a walk-in base and hope for the best. We did that today and indeed they were able to grant us emergency advanced parole so that my father can leave the country without affecting his application. We own this to Richard for giving us great suggestion. I saw one other reviewer leaving comments about Richard being rude. I believe Richard was simply trying to get the most relevant information so that he can assess how he can help you. I did feel a tiny bit of uncomfortable during my conversion as he was so straight to the point. But I completely understand why he is doing it and am grateful for his help.
