UNM School of Law offers a great legal education experience, with a graduation requirement for all law students to complete a legal clinical experience, so they have practiced law in court room, under Faculty Supervision, prior to graduating with a Juris Doctor and sitting for the Bar Exam. UNM is generally more affordable than enrollment at a private law school. And UNM has a long history of being community service oriented. It's also a very close knit community, where you make lots of professional connections that will serve you well if you decide to practice law in the State of New Mexico. UNM has the only law school in New Mexico, and a large percentage of State Bar of NM members are UNM law graduates. It's also in pretty location by the University of New Mexico North Golf Course. UNM School of Law also offers free public events each year, including the Simms Memorial Lecture. And members of the public may visit to do legal research in the UNM law library for free.

Grateful to be accepted into law school. Highly recommend attending this law program. I don’t come from a wealthy family… so the tuition cost is reasonable. Don’t let the cost prevent you from achieving JD. It will open up many positive paths. Most importantly , Don’t give up!

I've tried to reach the UNM law school numerous times by leaving voicemails and emails. I have not received email responses nor call backs. I originally was looking at their mediation program and tried to call and get more information. I had considered applying to their law school in the fall. However, based on my experience with their unreliable communication, I decided I could not pay to attend a school that does not prioritize communication.
