Reviews

This attorney refuses to pay for services rendered, specifically process serving. After getting blown off by his assistant multiple times, we finally spoke with Atty. Baratki directly. He said he would take care of the (very) past due invoice in September of 2015. It's now February 2017 and we are still waiting for payment. It's a shame that lawyers can be so unethical. I would never use this attorney under any circumstance.
I have mixed reviews for this lawyer. I can very much backup a statement/review that is listed about the tidiness of his office. However, I retained Mr. Baratki for a few different cases due to the fact he did am outstanding job on my family court case. My ex's lawyer stood no chance. He appeared unprofessional in court compared to Mr. baratki. He was easily accessible. Informative, and also striaght to the point. However, he did not show up to my divorce court date, the last appearance which!!!!! Resulted in my entire expensive, lengthy, and beyond stressful 2 year divorce to be THROWN OUT AND dismissed. Years later I am still married. Also, he again slipped and didn't show up to my custody case!!!!!!!! Resulting in my seriously UNFIT ex gaining primary placement of my eldest son. Causing extreme stress and emotional damage to myself and my son. He ruined a lot of things for me, and he also helped in some cases/instances. Three stars is being very generous considering the above mishaps.
Taken together, Attorney Baratki's serious and troublingly familiar misconduct renders a 60-day suspension an insufficient response. He abused his position of trust as a lawyer (again), practiced law during a suspension (again), violated the duties attendant to withdrawing from representation of a client, and disregarded his obligation to cooperate with the OLR. Given his course of conduct, we deem it imperative that, to resume the practice of law in Wisconsin, Attorney Baratki show this court that he has taken steps to avoid similar misdeeds in the future. We therefore impose a six-month suspension of Attorney Baratki's Wisconsin law license. See SCR 22.28(3). We note, too, that this particular length of suspension is consistent with our disciplinary precedent. See, e.g., In re Disciplinary Proceedings Against Ridgeway, 158 Wis. 2d 452, 462 N.W.2d 671 (1990) (assistant state public defender suspended for six months for having sexual contact with his client and providing her with beer in violation of her probation terms).
The worst lawyer in the world!!! He is not organized and his office is always a mess and it smells! Please do not use him.
