Excellent library. The staff is knowledgeable and caring, the facility is clean and cool. Even though it's a smaller library, it has a very impressive collection of great books to read, and they do good job of keeping fresh titles to explore. The bus stops directly in front. The only down side to this library is the disrespectful junkies and bums who like to congregate outside, drinking smoking cursing peeing sleeping or whatever. Wish they'd find somewhere better instead of getting high outside this awesome house of Knowledge.

This is a fantastic library / resource for the community. Easy access in / out of the location. I recommend this location especially if your near the downtown area. “On November 5, 2003, the Ybor City Branch Library was renamed to honor Robert W. Saunders Sr., a former Field Secretary of the NAACP. Saunders guided the state through challenging years as the South struggled for civil rights.” Wikipedia Check it out, once it opens again, and leave a review to help others.

I think love every staff member I come across here! Mrs Brian Ms Janelle Mr Dillion Mr CJ Mr Sean are a few that I recall that are very respectful patient and helpful! My family and I come here often we enjoy the free classes they offer as well. The classes are age appropriate and very fun and informative. Mr CJ literally sat with me and helped me revise my outdated resume he sat with me over an 1hour to get it up to par !! I totally over appreciated that!! I left feeling like any job I applied to I would get based of the resume results. Thanks so much staff keep up the Excellent teamwork! Kaleah Sincere Mom

Like all public libraries this one is exceptionally involved in the community. It is located on south Seminole Heights area. This and for years this are has been plagued with the homeless and low income families. But they didn't see this as a problem but an opportunity to reach at risk kids and adults with a beautiful learning center with it's own unique African American culture and history center dedicated to many ideas, thoughts and view points with something young adults and children of all creeds can learn and aspire so they can continue the legacy of our contribution and history here in America. It's a beautiful facility with rooms to rent that are updated, modern and clean. In fact, I used one to host a Easter Egg hunt for disabled kids and we had a marvelous time. The staff was awesome!! And usually there is a police presence there to always ensure it stays a peaceful and safe family environment. Come check out all the different art displays there. Again, it is one of those overlooked places in the city. There is ample parking also and handicapped spots with a circular drive way. Its one of my favorite libraries in the city.
