When I hired Court, it was still in the 1990s. Our agreement said that our daughter would be emancipated on certain conditions. She just stopped attending college to just hang out at home, while I was continuing to pay her mother child support. Curt filed my emancipation motion and my wife replied saying that our daughter wasn't in college for the time being because they ran out of seats. Without blinking an eye, he called me to ask what I was doing that day. When I asked him why, he said because he wanted me to take a drive up to the school to see if I could enroll there. I was able to enroll myself with no problem. I gave documentation to Curt who called the other lawyer. He asked if he knew what a grabber is. The other guys said no, what's a grabber. Curt told him to stand by his fax machine. Curt said, so I guess we're done here, you can do a consent order to emancipate her going back to when we filed. The moment was priceless.

We had to be in Essex County on our divorce at least eight times. The other lawyer didn't have a chance. The judge would actually ask him for his opinion in a tone that did not even seem to be asking him for an argument, but actually for his opinion as if it were independently valued. Great for me.
