I was looking for a job, and a friend referred me to work at her law office. Came in, showed her my resume and she told me to start working. After two weeks, she told me that she wasn't hiring me to be permanent but she refused to pay me for the two weeks and never even acknowledged what she did. This woman is a scammer. Stay away. Don't let the smart talking fool you. There are too many options on Sutphin to choose this place for your legal services.

Worst lawyer ever. Her and her partner work together to drain every single penny possible from their clients. Please save yourself financially and mentally from going to her place of practice. It’s all about the money for her

Not sure what these other reviews are about but they usually answer me promptly. They are quite possibly the most personable attorneys I’ve ever met. Her firm helped me remove a very wicked tenant who decided to stop paying and set shop. Took a few months and the tenant was gone and I’ll never have to see them again. She puts me & my family at ease. Looking forward to working with her again in the future.

THE WORST SERVICE AND MONEY EATER!! Should be a zero star! Very unprofessional and doesn't do the work on time, top of all charges extra money for NO reason! I went to her through a reference, and had a terrible experience to the point my reference had to rush her to do my work. I had matrimonial case with her and I filed it with a Buffalo address because that's the fastest way. I started the process in April, and they received everything (affidavit for defendant) in June. It was still not submitted at the court in mid September. By law, they can file it after 45 days from the defendant was served (when it's uncontested). Her paralegal Nisha said 50 days in the beginning and later, Nazmeen the attorney herself told me they have to wait 2 months 10 days when I started questioning. NONE OF THEM GIVES TRUE INFORMATION. I come from a law background and I know the time frames and procedures very well! She was very rude to me over the phone when I started talking about the law and time frame. Instead of being friendly or helpful, she charged me an extra $175, which wasn't included in the fees what we agreed on. When I asked, I was told it's because she "typed" a "letter of instruction". Like seriously? I worked in a law office, and all the instruction letters and everything are always saved in the system! A lawyer doesn't type them, all they do is sign it and that's all! I was charged $175 for that! She told me it was going to take 3-4 months more and after having an unnecessary argument with her, I had to tell my reference to take care of the situation because or else, I was ready to take some actions! And guess what? Turns out that they didn't file it on time because the Nazmeen was out of the country. So clearly, she is not honest with her clients or doesn't even try to help them out and has no client/time manners. I didn't want to file from the firm I used to work at because I didn't want to bring my personal life at my professional life, but looks like that was a way better option!

As others mentioned, extremely unresponsive and hard to get anything from. A family member is using this firm and it’s been over a year with no result. If you call to ask about the case, they don’t have a clue and essentially just ghost you. Things they said they would file never get filed or get filed only after you hound them. As soon as you let up, nothing is done. Save your money and go someplace else that will actually respond to you and get things done in a timely manner.
