There are many title companies out there to choose from but when Using Schaeffer Douglas as your title company it always makes for a and smooth transaction. Hillary who executes the closings is professional and very thorough. She makes her clients feel very comfortable.

We closed with H&D Title and are now in the process of refinancing, however, now that we are refinancing we are experiencing multiple issues with our title that should have been caught before we closed on the house the first time. We reached out to Eric, who did give us a call back the same day, we sent over the issues on September 30th and have yet to have one person follow up with us. I reached out to Eric via email on October 12, l called him and left a message on October 14th and followed up via email AGAIN since neither attempt was responded to, on October 16th. Neither his voicemail or email indicated that he was out of the office. The bank we are refinancing through also put in an email to Eric, which has also not been responded too. I am at a total loss on where to go next as this is totally unacceptable. There is a chance that I may lose my house due to their inability to do their job. What a terrible experience this has been. I understand that things get missed, and that these issues were not created by H&D Title, however, the lack of communication and acknowledgement of the uncovered problems other than the first call back is completely unacceptable and atrocious. I suggest that you avoid H&D Title in its entirety.

Avoid at all cost. These people are clearly morons and have no idea what they are doing. Closed on some land with them (knowing what I know now I wouldn’t close the purchase of a bicycle with them) and they some how botched it. I recently built a house on the land and now I’m having issues with the title work these morons did on my land! Now it’s pushing my closing back on my house! Complete morons avoid at all cost!!!!!

Not all title companies are created equal. After numerous closings this summer , I even more fervently recommend Schaeffer Douglas.
