Wow!!!!!! I wish I saw these review before I hired Mr. Schatz he came from a very reliable source and I trusted that explained my situation during my Free Consolation and from my understanding he was ok with that then I get a call from his assistant telling me I needed to come up with more $$$$ or he was going to File a Motion to remove himself from my case every time I tired to reach out a leave a message I was told will make sure he gets back in touch with you nothing. I do not recommended this Law Firm to anyone and I will make sure to let the Judge now whenever I find out when my next court date is.

I hired Atty Mike for my son custody case. He is very knowledgeable, and on top of things. My son feels more at ease, considering everything that he has gone through. I have been through this, and wanted the best for my son, someone who looks out for him. His legal assistant Mary, is the best, after having to deal with me, I know wasn't easy. She managed to calm us down. Such a great experience so far.

If I could leave a zero-star review, I would do it in a heartbeat. When I was 13, I visited Mr. Schatz four times. Each time, I explained my issues to him, but he did nothing and always sided with the person who had more money. It's clear that all he cares about is his paycheck. He's an absolute nightmare of a human being. Do not go to Mr. Schatz under any circumstances.

Michael Schatz picked up the ball that was horribly fumbled by another law firm, who I will not mention and got my case across the goal line. He was honest, upfront, pulled no punches about the case and got it all done for a very fair price. He never over billed or charged for any service he did not provide. His rates are ridiculously affordable and I never once felt like I was not getting my moneys worth throughout the entire time he represented me. His knowledge regarding marital law in Illinois was astounding. For as poorly as my first council performed, Michael Schatz was the polar opposite and I will forever be thankful that I found him to represent me. I could not have made out better at the end of this painful process and it is the direct result of Mike's ability as a divorce attorney. Thank you sir, you are the best!!!

Fair warning, Michael Schatz does not care about you. He cares about a paycheck. He was assigned as a GAL to my case about 4 years ago meaning he was assigned to represent my son's BEST INTERESTS. While he was GAL, my son's mother dropped my son into a bonfire. We also had video of her dropping my son (one year old at the time) off without a car seat. Schatz literally admitted to my attorney at the time that she was way more of a danger to my son than I was. So what does Schatz do? Advises that she receive majority custody and puts her in charge of all primary decision making. Makes sense. And on top of it all, he charged us $4,000 for it. Guy is a scumbag. Buyer beware.
