Top Notch Team!! Schlather and Birch was referred by their affiliate Abstract Company! Abstract was completed in under a week. Mr. Birch, Lauren, Susan and the team got my property purchase done faaasssttt!!! We received update emails from all the staff involved throughout the entire process. The seller had been ignored by their 2 attorneys. I take the credit in finding the Birch team! Seller and buyer handled in house! Everyone, again, thank you so much for everything! I have been a client of Schlather & Birch for many years now, since moving to Cooperstown in the mid 1990's. I have particularly worked with Bob Birch but know and respect his partner, Mr. Schlather. I have had excellent service and legal advice as well as friendship there. The Staff is courteous and professional and above all friendly. Their Law office is the quintessential country law office, with sophisticated professionalism and services that include tax and accounting services as well.

"Slither" as we called Schlather, was my mother's estate lawyer when she passed. He was rude and nasty. Didn't even file my mother's tax return for the year she passed. The money she had coming back is still out there. Spent thousands on nickel and dimes, worked towards getting magazine subscription rebates back, $0.5 cents, .$0.75 cents ect. Got an "assessment" of my mother's property which was wrong, the assessor added a shed the the land which was supposed to be with the home. Just really bad service. I'm sure my mom was rolling in her grave. took two years to finish her estate which wasn't complete of course because of the income taxes which was never resolved. What a jerk. of course he got his "commission" $10,000.

Stay Away from this Law Firm. I gave them a case (Mr. Birch) and he never did anything or responded to my emails. If you want a good attorney, please go to Oneonta or Albany. Stay away form this Law firm and save your time and money.

Interacted with this firm while trying to get a relatives will. They ignored both calls and emails, and even when they did choose to communicate with us it frequently took over a week to get replies. Getting the will took the better part of two months
