Navigating our high-conflict custody case was one of the most challenging experiences, but having Adam Sloane by our side for two years made all the difference. From the very beginning, he demonstrated a level of vigilance and dedication that gave us confidence throughout this difficult journey. What truly sets Adam apart is his ability to balance professionalism with genuine care. He took the time to understand every detail of our case, ensuring we were fully informed of all our options. His legal expertise was evident in every motion, court appearance, and strategic decision, but it was his empathy and unwavering support that helped us stay grounded. Adam was not only a fierce advocate for our rights but also focused on what was in the best interest of our child. He treated the case with the sensitivity and urgency it deserved, ensuring no detail was overlooked while keeping the well-being of our family at the forefront. Thanks to Adam, we achieved a resolution that protected our child’s future. I will always be grateful for his compassion, determination, and expertise.
Referred to this firm from another local attorney for consideration of a contentious elder law case. Did the initial intake, scheduled initial call with an attorney. Came to find out the assigned attorney was a very junior associate with about 5 years of experience. Really? This person couldn’t manage his time effectively and kept rescheduling with me to complete his initial discovery. After several days of this, the associate scheduled time with me late Friday, begged off the call saying he had other appointments, and asked to continue the call at 5pm Mon for a follow. Mon came/went and the associate then ghosted me - no call, no show. I’ve read the firm’s bios which are great, and have seen many positive reviews here. So here’s a couple of questions since my own experience was less than satisfactory and unprofessional. Who was the genius who assigned a person with less than 5 years of experience to an advanced case of moderately high complexity? What makes this junior associate a good attorney for a complex elder law case? What are their credentials and qualifications? Why does your assigned attorney not have the time or experience to understand my case and determine if it’s viable? Why is your assigned attorney unable to manage their own time effectively? Am I hiring The Firm, or just some random associate who can’t engage because they have neither the core skills nor the subject matter expertise to advise prospective clients on their matters (or both)? What law firm ghosts prospective clients and expects good press/feedback? I’m fine if you tell me ‘not interested’ or ‘too complicated’ or ‘not a good case’ but don’t waste my time. My policy as a customer/client is that if you ghost me you’re summarily dismissed from consideration and rarely will I give second chances. That’s because if your business is disorganized and disrespectful those qualities don’t tend to improve with time. Ghosting is an abhorrent practice that will not be tolerated. Legal matters are a massive expense. If your firm can’t handle itself professionally during intake, why on earth would I spend tens of thousands of dollars with your business to represent me on a matter of critical importance? I’m sure that you have competent attorneys, but I didn’t get access to those people and my experience was not positive.
I have now used attorney Mary Jeanne Stone for 2 yes 2, separate cases now in probate court dealing with custody issues. Over the last 12 years. I can not express enough, her input, experience, and attention to my needs, in both cases more than exceptional. Fast replies, attention to details, explaining law issues, and experience, were more than comforting in a place I felt lost as a father and “doomed” I personally, can not recommend her services higher , compared to all others I have dealt with. I felt all needs were not only met, payments were not astronomical, and felt she worked towards “my” needs not just a quick solution. Highly recommended!
Alex did a great job on our transaction. I’m a realtor and work with attorneys often. He was very professional, super responsive, easy to understand and communicate with. Would absolutely recommend and would use again.
We live way outside of Massachusetts and were not familiar with attorneys there when we had a need for one. Relying on previous reviews, and their practice scope, I engaged Cohen Cleary to assist with the probate of an estate. Kristin Smola, Esq and her team were professional, responsive, and efficient during the entire process. I would engage this group again and highly recommend their services!
