Mr. Scott has the best team !! My Son as normal kid doesn't feel happy to come to Dr's appointment but he feel comfortable with the clinic, Team and the Doctor. Thank you so much for always providing above and beyond service.
1/25/22. This is my first big procedure experience with Dr. Scott’s office. My daughter is 7 & has special needs from childhood trauma. I walked in carrying her in my arms, as she was given medication to make her sleepy at home (prescription from Dr. Scott). She was drowsy in & out of it & confused when I carried her in. Knowing she may be frightened when she lays down on the exam table without mom there, I requested to go back with her to simply get her settled for a couple minutes & give her assurance. I was standing for 30 minutes with her in my arms half-asleep before finally the Dr ok’d me to come back for a couple minutes. The appointment ran late due to this. When I walked her in she started to tense up immediately. I assured her, held her & requested a blanket for her before I laid her on the exam chair. My younger son is 4 & was politely quietly near me during this, in the exam room. The staff told me the reason they had me delayed by 30 min was because the Dr has a policy that siblings cannot come to exam rooms so that “they won’t see” the dr and be scared. Hmm. After my daughter’s special trauma needs were finally accommodated, and I stood for half an hour with her...I was escorted out of the exam room and the atmosphere felt very unwelcoming from staff & Dr. I asked the staff if Dr receives any trauma trainings & if he is trauma-informed. They were not able to answer my question. Overall, very poor customer service and I will be seeking care elsewhere for my child going forward due to the lack of trauma care. Edit 1/26/22: It took me 5 minutes to find a different local dentist physician that accommodates trauma families and kids with anxiety. They confirmed a parent & a sibling, is welcome into operative & procedure rooms at any time for transition and/or duration of procedure. They do not practice non-accommodation for special needs trauma families. Dr. Scott stated below that there is no physician that allows this practice. That is indeed false. Thank for you reading. Again, to be clear: I had requested to transition my daughter in, for only a few minutes; I did not ask to remain in the room for the procedure itself
The staff is amazing and friendly. My son enjoys his visit every time!
Great experience! Friendly staff, on time, personal attention and follow up from Dr. Scott.
This clinic is money hungry. BECAREFUL, THEY WILL TRY TO UPSALE YOU! I've been coming here for 2 years, the people and the dentist are extremely nice and caring. Unfortunately, they charged me for something I don't need. First of all, my daughter's baby tooth came out because her permanent one was coming through. The tooth barely coming through so they offered me to put in a spacer to keep that gap open until that tooth comes through. Telling me that she will need that spacer for the next 2-3 years. Ok, let's do it. After she had the spacer for 4-5 months, the spacer fell off. I asked to get it fix and they said she doesn't need it anymore. Then, what is the point of having it in the first place? Second, because of CoVid, parent are not allowed to accompany the children and had to sit in the car. They didn't asked me whether she wanted fluorine treatment and went ahead and charge me for it. Telling me that they recommend doing it every 6 months. NO, my insurance only pays for it one flouride treatment a year so I don't want it every visit. Without asking me, they did it anyway. Third, they charge a $10 CoVid PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) fee upon arrival. Before me, they said they charge everyone a $20 fee for several months before lowering it to $10. The only PPE I see was two air purifiers in the lobby. Imagine how much they are making from each person in one day. Within a week, they should be able make enough to cover for it even if they have some purifiers inside the working area. If not, a month at most. The clinic should provide that for the patient's safety and should not be out of our pockets. They should let us know the charges before arrival. It was getting ridiculous for me so I changed provider. The new dentist have air purifiers all over the place, didn't charge any CoVid PPE fee, and allowed parents come in and sit with the child. I hope they don't upsale either like many dentists do.
