Ever since i decided to get a divorce in 2017 I’ve always been on the child support radar because when your the non-custodial parent your looked at as a criminal in the state of Texas while them custodial parents cheat every system designed to man kind. My modification case came up for the three year mark so I decided to talk to Scott Brown to handle this case for me, we worked out a deal and moved forward back in January of 2021. Since then my original attorney left the firm then I was tossed around until I got assigned another one. From that moment forward everything started going down hill. I got assigned another case at the same time for enforcement which I figured I’ll have the same lawyer for both it would work out better but boy was I wrong. This has been going on since January with no resolution due to the lack of fight and knowledge this firm has in this particular field. But hey they are not scared to keep sending them invoices to you for doing absolutely nothing. I started off with a 5k retainer for the modification case which I paid and a 2500 dollar retainer for the enforcement which I paid 1000 of thus far, since then I’ve received almost 10k in invoices with a extra retainer fee of 2k. Guessing the way they pay for them fancy suits and buildings are by getting over on people and sending them 1k-1.5k invoices every 3-4 days and expect you to pay them immediately like your a money tree. This is the perfect example of a law firm that you hire to represent you, they do a very poor job at it, you do all the work and they take all your money. You’ll probably get threatened by them to withdraw about 4-5 times over simple disagreements or payment terms this proves they are incompetent. If they do this to you the first time just go ahead and drop them. Moral to this story is if your looking for a good firm to represent you PLEASE pass this one up and go on to someone that will fight for you, someone who is more hungry and aggressive. Any law firm with multiple offices doesn’t care about you or the end result just as long as you pay them bills as they come out IMMEDIATELY. By far the most unprofessional, uneducated, none aggressive law firm I’ve ever seen or heard of in my life. If you believe in throwing away money and paying someone even though your doing all the work then this is the absolute place to do it. Good luck to you and I hope y’all never experience the same thing I have with these people or anyone else.

My experience has be amazing so far, I worked with Megan J. Rothermel and she is definitely a shark and fought for me and what I wanted aggressively. She personally made it easy and did all the grunt work and with professional quality. She always explained and talked me through documents and procedures I did not understand and never lead me astray. The staff as well have treated me like family and are always so nice every time I come in or call! Trust me I have not made it easy on them. Great firm to work with! 10/10!
