Shafer Law Firm

Incredibly rude and aggressive "Law Firm" which is used to scare people into payment. I believe I was sent to collections on accident, and when I called to resolve issues I was told that I had my chance to decide what to pay and that I needed to pay in full in three months or else. It is sad to see a "law firm" threatening people to pay. They are uncaring and cruel. I hope that any companies which thinks of doing business with them reconsider. I understand attempting to collect debts is a nasty task, but maybe consider that not every person is trying to cheat someone out of money, maybe there is a reason they can not pay all at once. The collector I spoke with is Cynthia and her tone and retorts to me were very rude and uncaring.

I think this could be some kind of identity or payment scam? They claim to have medical bills from a deceased person that they wanted payment on. The interaction was strange in that they didn’t have any verification information, the phone number left on my VM went back to some personal trainer in Atlanta (bizarre).

Cynthia Raymond screams over people which may be harassing and abusive, she insinuates people of misconduct to, in my opinion, intimidate them into payment. She and this whole firm might wanna brush up on FDCPA § 806 and § 807.

I received a call from my ex-wife saying these people were looking for me. Note, I been divorced for 6 years, they never contacted me and had an address I haven't lived at for 10 years. They stated I had a bill in collections for my son's hospital bill that was not even 300$. She stated she give them my number and they can contact me. Then told her they take off 30% if she paid it which she'd did. When I contacted the hospital and went online on the portal there was not date of visit or bill, they said. This place is a scam and liars.

I have never been treated so badly. I contacted my insurance company and was told there was a billing error but it had been paid. When I called the lawyer 's office the woman I spoke with was so disrespectful. She talked over me and I could not understand what she was saying. As a three time cancer survivor I have never been treated so badly. I only hope she does not face illness in the future and have to deal with someone like her. My heart goes out to anyone that has to deal with her. .
