Shin & Associates

My review is not based on Dr. Shin. I'm reviewing their front and back desk billing department. Their system isn't broken, it's false. A complete lie. In 2020 I went to counseling here for a couple months. I kept records and receipts for all visits. I was falsely billed as "non payment". After I printed then presented my bank statements for the specific time period, the issue was still never resolved. From what I can tell with this type of office is it's very easy to get lost and behind with their billing. Recommend keeping all receipts.

My family and I have been going to this practice for years. They do have some good therapists but the front office is a mess. Their billing system is poorly run and they rarely send out bills in a timely fashion, however they will cancel your appointment if you have any balance. They also don’t have any online payment options. The last time I called the person who said they were the “office manager” refused to give me their name. We’ve followed several therapists to other practices who said they left because it is so poorly run internally.

Dr Shin is pretty good but I REALLY love her PA/NP (can’t recall which she is) Kristy. She is on time, personable and really listens to your concerns. If you’re looking into going here, definitely ask for Kristy! The admin staff is wonderful as well.

Excellent therapists! They will get 2 stars though because their front desk is a mess. The easiest way to schedule an appointment or remind them to refill a script is GOING THERE IN PERSON since half the time the front desk puts you on hold and forgets about you. Their answering service isn’t much better.

This is a trash buisness filled with liars. They will deny you medication and appointments, if you owe a single cent. They will ghost you without notice. Dr Shin refuses to use a computer and relies on word of mouth to run her office sadly her office staff is incapable of supporting this approach properly and miscommunication is rampant and the clients suffer.
