My husband Oris Kenney and I want the public to know that this organization is AWESOME!!! They are truly the angels of Los Angeles....we want to extend our heartfelt and sincere thanks to all staff that assisted my family in our time of housing issues. Thank GOD for the Eviction Defense Network...may GOD continue to bless them and keep them always.

You WILL BE SCAMMED out of money. The lawyers are unprofessional, and the office staff is VERY RUDE. The office is next to MacArthur Park, a junkie park, and there is street parking only in unsafe surroundings. The paralegal who assisted me couldn't even do basic math while computing my income to rent ratio, and she became frustrated when I showed her how to calculate a percentage properly. I waited two hours just to be seen while I watched women of Latino descent walk in and be seen within minutes, and I was early to my appointment. I'd rather that they just have a sign that says, "LATINA'S ONLY!" instead of being rude and wasting my time. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they became defensive and said they couldn't help me with my case. I went to the West Hollywood Saturday morning legal clinic and found a reputable attorney who took my case and won me $50k against my slumlord. Too bad Elena Poop wasn't able to win my case and get some money to move her office to somewhere that doesn't look like a roach motel. And, no, I did not misspell that name; I just spelled it to fit her character.

I retained Ms. Popp in 2009 to handle an eviction. In doing so, I paid the retainer and was told that part of her services was to seal the records so the eviction was would not show up to prevent you from obtaining future housing. The Plaintiff and I instead of going to court met with our lawyers and an arbitrator and was able to come to an agreement. I was told by Ms. Popp the only left was for me to exit the property as promised and she would appear in court on my behalf. In 2016 I was involved in a legal matter in which the opposing attorney lost his case and was determined to retaliate against me, in his witch hunt, the same 2009 eviction came up. I went to the Pasadena courthouse and retrieved a copy of the case to find out Ms. Popp breached her fiduciary duty to me and did not show up in court, therefore the Plaintiff was able to file the money judgment against me due to Ms. Popp's defaulting on her legal obligation and fiduciary duty to represent me according to her contract, nor was the case sealed which is how the 2016 attorney was able to find it and bring the judgment to life. The extra bonus, I called Ms. Popp when I was made aware of what happened and went to her office. I showed her the court file, she read it and said, "yeah, it looks like I didn't show" ....? with that she admitted her default. Ms. Popp's neglect has caused me great financial damage and a setback. I am ambitiously looking for a legal malpractice attorney to represent me in this matter. In finding an attorney it's interesting how another attorney regardless of the wrong willfully condone one of their own. Stay far away from this business. I AM NOT A TROLL!!! I am an actual victim of Elena Popp with receipts for proof. Be mindful that some of the positive reviews possibly are from her office, they have a common denominator which is their paycheck. wrong is wrong, legal malpractice is wrong I don't care who you are. I hold a license professionally and if I make an error to a client, I am legally liable for my damage.....that's all I'm asking of her is to be a responsible professional and right her wrong with me.

In 2003 or 2004 I used this organization that is headed by Elena Popp (sp?). After charging me close to one thousand dollars, they lost my case. I really beieved she was the real deal. Very dissapointing. Non-profit? I don't think so. Do not recommend at all.

I am in the process of being a client of there's, and so far they are doing a great job. Will follow up as the days,weeks, months go by. AT FIRST THEY GOOD ,THE ATTORNEY SHAWN IS A JERK.BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR.
