Spooner was an awful defense attorney just trying to get his clients to plead out no matter what. He just wanted the quick cash.

Hired Spooner for defense, but all he wanted to do was get a plea deal. He grabbed at the first plea they offered. He said the felony would drop to a misdemeanor, but all records show "felony conviction" loud and clear. I will have the "convicted of a felony" mark for the rest of my life, which was not represented clearly. I would never recommend Spooner to anyone, because he just didn't seem to care.
