Stacy Blondes Talbott

I wouldn't recommend Stacy. She was pretty much icy the whole process. I had the simplest divorce case she's probably ever had. There was absolutely no negotiations or disagreements between my spouse and I. I gave him the house, we had separate accounts so no messiness there (no alimony needed), we agreed to split property like furniture etc. We had no children and were only married about a year - because we had a civil dissolution of our marriage and had no children we were NOT required to be separated for a year. I hired Stacy in February and the divorce went through in July the same year. I am telling you - easiest case she's ever had. She had a $3K retainer which she told me I would probably get a couple hundred dollars back since my case was so simple. After everything was said and done, she ended up billing me for $150 dollars because I went over my retainer. Ridiculous. Anyways, I learned my lesson about lawyers. I definitely felt taken advantage of. Since I am a young female (and at that time very vulnerable) I thought this older female lawyer would be looking out more for me. I was wrong.

I do not recommend hiring Ms Talbott. You actually hire her assistant who wasn't helpful. My divorce was fairly straight forward and ended up getting delayed because when the separation agreement was sent my ex didn't realize she had to print and fill out the "Answer" to the divorce. When I asked where that form was on the courts website so I could print it off and send it to my ex to sign I was told search for "answer to divorce". I did so and the form I printed was apparently the complaint for the divorce so when they showed me the correct form it turns out its called a CCDR-50 which is the first link on google. If I was given the correct name originally my divorce wouldn't have taken as long as it did. Among other small issues I did not enjoy my experience using her as my divorce lawyer and would not recommend her services.

Let me start by saying, I've never placed a review on Google but felt compelled to do so. I hope this review can help guide people who are looking for really good attorney. If I could give 10 stars, I would. Stacy Talbott help me through a complex and difficult separation agreement. She is smart, thorough, compassionate and really tough. She's the kind of attorney that you're glad is on your side. I am very grateful for how she handled my case, and couldn't have wished for a better outcome. I truly can't recommend a better attorney.

My experience with Stacy has been exceptional. She handled my annulment and custody case with great care and expertise. She very carefully and thoughtfully guided me through a very difficult process. Stacy was always extremely responsive and very detailed in her explanations. I will be forever grateful for all of the time and energy she spent working on my case.
