Very disappointed in the AA SAO office. Alexandra Athens laughingly took a plea deal on a hit and run case that left the defendant only paying a small fine. We have small children that could have be injured in such an incident, and we only found the defendant through social media as she ran.. the justice system isn't perfect, but we all as citizens in our communities expect more sincerity and professionalism from those who represent us in the court room. I hope and pray the the SAO can find confident and passionate lawyers to represent their office, and us, the community, in the future. Sad day for the AA States attorneys ofc.
Thanks Steve Boyer for losing my case due to your lack of preparation and inept questioning
Dear state attarney of Annapolis I give yall a five star.
State's attorney has let me down more than once. In failure to follow through.
It's time to start prosecuting abusers from Key School. It's been long enough. There are plenty of dangerous abusers who are still alive and in the area as well. Many of them have access to children. I'm not the only one who has complained about them. Some of the alleged abusers are still working at the school. There have been multiple investigations, police reports, corroboration, newspaper articles (front page Wash. Post, The Capital, and countless others) facebook groups with survivors sharing horrific experiences, blogs, twitters, a petition, etc. etc. etc. Still no arrests and the investigation seems to always get stalled... The abuse at Key School made national headlines. More stories are coming out. You'd think the authorities would put a little more elbow grease into this investigation. Something is not right at this office. I'm happy I'm not the only one who realizes it. It's also been publicly documented that in the past the authorities did basically nothing to help survivors of Key School. In fact, it appears that the current investigation (started in 2018) got stalled for some reason. Former prosecutor Pamela Alban was assigned to the case. She has since become a judge. So did she forget about us survivors? *womp womp* It's becoming obvious what's going on here. It's corrupt that nothing more has been done after all these years. Obviously Key School has serious abuse problems. I saw firsthand what was going on in there and it was highly illegal, traumatic, and detrimental to our community. So. Much. Abuse. But yet, this office always seems like it does what it can to minimize the severity of the situation and keep it underwraps. I wonder why? There are abusers running around who need to be locked up. Over the past year I've really seen how the authorities have *tried* to keep shoving everything happening at Key School under the rug. I had faith in Anne Colt Leitess when she was elected, but I've since lost that faith after seeing how this situation is still being handled. #TIMESUP
