The best family lawyer hands down. She always has the children and there best interest in mind and is has always been a straight to the point no bull kind of lawyer. I have recommended her to several people over the year's

Walked away after thousands spent and no real progress. At the end, I had to ask 4 separate times IN WRITING for a status update... her tactics were to 1) ignore my questions and ask me for more information, 2) suggest I come in for an appointment and talk, 3) come in to sign paperwork. This took a MONTH before I explicitly asked for an update, not a meeting ($200 / hr). My first warning sign was over a year earlier... I forwarded several emails to her... which she printed out, cut by hand, and put back together... and then billed me for that. She could have easily done cut and paste electronically. I also shared years of files electronically... but she didn't know how to download... so I downloaded to her computer. In the end she suggested that I should go through all those files and tell her what I thought was most useful. Later, I had a driving infraction and was out of state... and despite several calls and emails, did not get a single response. Additionally... she tried to fire me as a client for failure to communicate... even though I'd spoken on the phone with her office staff just a week prior. In our subsequent meeting... she said she accepted full responsibility for the miscommunication, but never apologized and kept saying it was a miscommunication in a non-committal manner. In that same meeting, we discussed the client that recommended me to her... and she mentioned that person "still owes me money". Not huge, but definitely inappropriate and would be considered by some as a breach of attorney client privilege. The final straw for me was receiving information for another client... After asking around in the community, I've found a handful of other unsatisfied customers that had similar concerns... meeting and talking in her office at her hourly rate... but no real progress. A general sense/feeling of being milked for $$$. So to summarize... - lack of prowess with electronic records - miscommunication between her and her office staff - a disingenuous apology (never actually apologized... just said she accepted complete responsibility) - unresponsive to emails on various occasions - divulging information regarding other clients (2x) She seems like a nice enough person, but I do not recommend her as an attorney.

Great attorney. She is blunt and to the point. She doesn't play around and definitely gets the job done.

my mom used Stephanie Slagle in her divorce to my dad & she took money from my dad under the table in order for him to win while she was working and taking money from my mother. she’s lucky my mom didn’t have the money to take her to court for it.
