I don’t appreciate their whatever she is calling me multiple times about the debt that I have from my taxes in 2020. Just a little rundown of my story, I accidentally put the wrong school tax code on me and my husband’s tax form. But we were filing it through TurboTax, and I asked one of the representatives of TurboTax which tax school code we should use.. They are the ones I gave us the incorrect tax code. And when I called the IRS to amend it, they said that they wouldn’t be amending it since it’s been so long. Me and my husband are not rich, and we’re currently trying to buy a house. We did not commit tax fraud; we simply just put the wrong tax code. So, stop calling us about this debt. We already spoke with IRS regarding it. You’re all lawyers, do something better with your time instead of going after working class people. I have better things to do than to be on the phone arguing with some chick about a debt that are already resolved with the IRS.
Rodger was upfront with his fees and abilities. He represented not only me but my mother and brother also. He kept all of us informed of what was going on and how we should proceed with our defense. When ultimately got the case dismissed and for that me and my family will forever be grateful. His preparation and experience proved to be priceless and showed us he was well his fees and retainer. I would of paid him more considering the battery of work he did to get the case dismissed. To me and my family you can't put a dollar figure on what years of experience proved in our case. Thank you Rodger for being what my mother said was her family's night in shining armor.
They Waited approximately 13 years to finally get in contact with my wife regarding college debt. Said they made multiple attempts to collect. The wife thought her dads VA loan paid for her to go to college. They harassed us saying that they will sue us if we don’t pay. We are a family of 5 living off $48,000/year. We barely have enough money to keep our heads above water. Covid really put a financial strain on our family owned business. During Covid, we were forced to take a loan to keep a roof over our kids heads. We recently lost our kids state insurance. My wife and I don’t have insurance nor have we ever. We struggle to keep food on the table with the rising cost of everything. I offered to settle for half the amount but they claim that they are not allowed to accept that offer. They claim the college would have to approve. I called the college to speak about the matter and they hung up on us. It’s just another example of greedy rich people trying to squeeze a nickel out of an already struggling family. Guaranteed they had a paycheck during Covid and worked remotely. Being self employed, We were shut down with no paycheck and forced to take a loan to keep a roof over our heads. Almost ended up homeless. If you ask my opinion, they waited until years later so that interest would build up.
This assigned attorney by the Ohio Attorney office is committing fraudulent by collecting tax offsets for a loan that doesn't belong to me since 2018. This isn't a defaulted or delinquent loan as confirmed by the Ohio Dept of Ed. Default Resolution and as required under FCRA US Code Section 609 & Section 611 you're required to provide my signature to verify any accounts. Under Chapter 41 US Code 1681(i) (5) (B) (i), if any information is deleted from a consumer’s file pursuant to subparagraph (A), the information may not be reinserted in the file by the consumer agency. Thus, you are required under the FCRA to delete these unverified accounts and to never reinset them on my consumer file. Also, there's open litigation for all Borrowers' Defense applications that have been delayed since student loan forgiveness has been extended! I've report this information to the Consumer Financial Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and Better Business Bureau. Both my student loan servicer and The Ohio Department of Education have been made aware of such fraudulent activities.
When it comes to getting your license back after a warrant block they called me because my case and fines were sent to the attorney generals office. The lady called me and was very pleasant and explained everything. So nice to be able to get my questions answered in my case. Real talk.
