Don't waste your time/tuition money. I know the tuition is affordable but their graduation rate is horrible and the location is horrible, a lot of crime happens in that area since they're right next to the border. Invest in a good education and don't come here!

This school allows non-academic entities to broadcast bigoted and and unmerited opinions. On June 5, 2018, the president of the university is allowing a workshop titled "Can Homosexuals Change" to go forward at the student center. This workshop will feature debates on the legitimacy of LGBTQ identities and encourages "homosexuals" to "change," that is, to stop being homosexuals. I'm gay, and the legitimacy of my existence is not up for debate.nnThis school only cares about your money. Don't give it to them.

I love TAMIU!!! It's way affordable and they present many opportunities for scholarships! I'm getting my B.S. without paying a single cent out of my pocket. The student:professor ratio is perfect. The professors are approachable, knowledgeable, and dedicated to their job. The clubs & organizations are diverse. The only drawback in my experience is their lack of any CS degree! ):

never stay at the dorms, they stink and they never have water or hot water and you can't shower or use the restroom but they still make you pay for rent.
