Contacted J. Gannon Helstowski Law firm to help me out with a large and incorrect apartment bill that had gone to collections. Cost is definitely reasonable, and they got to work on my case immediately. They were very helpful with every step, and always kept in touch about my options, their suggestions, and the end result was a settlement that was fair, and saved me a good amount of money. Helena was great to work with, and would refer them to anyone.

John Helstowski is a class act Attorney at Law in the DFW metroplex. He’s passionate about all his clients & treat them with dignity & respect. John Helstowski is well known in the south but all of the State of Texas. John is a protector. He will see to it that all your rights are protected. No case is too big or small & trust me, he won’t let you down. After speaking with him about my situation, i felt that someone do care about me. My grade for him & his staff is all A’s & no A-.????????

I had been working with Chris regarding my HOA. My HOA had changed companies and never notified me of the new HOA, who to pay, how to pay or how much the dues were. By law the HOA has to send bills to residents and a certified letter prior to sending account to the attorneys. They are also required to provide these letters for my inspection. My HOA did not do this. Chris requested $1,000 to demand the letters. I paid it. The HOA never provided them. They don’t exist. I spoke with My Helsinki when the HOA planned to sale the property. He spoke with me at length. As the sale date got closer I called him to see what we needed to do to protect the property. He assured me the property was not up for auction. He said we would set up a game plan in October after he handled all the properties being auctioned Oct 1. I agreed a waited. This AM I was contacted by the sheriff’s department regarding the upcoming auction. I called the attorney to tell them and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I even paid the full amount to the HOA, I notified the sheriff and he said the HOA will not take if off the auction. When the sheriff called Mr Helsinki he said I never retained him and he was not going to get involved. I am beyond disappointed with this attorney. Do not waste your money or time calling this attorney.

I was recommended this firm by an apartment locator, and I paid for a service that should have been complete in one month and we are now on month 7. I had 1 month being my fault waiting on an id to come in the mail but other than that this process has been extremely annoying. From the lack of consistent communication to again going on 7months of this process. I want my money back yet I NEED this process to get finished. When I brought up my frustrations on this long process they tried to turn everything on me as if they were waiting on me which is not the case.

Incredibly disappointing transaction with the J Gannon Helstowski Law Firm. Really poor communication with all parties to include paralegals/support staff and the attorney himself. We were quoted a high flat fee due to the request being "last minute" after unanswered calls and emails 14 days prior to the court appearance. After the hearing paperwork was not filed with the court since they Attorney went on vacation leading to more unnecessary delays and need to reverse a dismissal, which would allow the client rightful possession of the property. I am always reluctant to add a negative review, but I felt like it is warranted in this case.
