Intelligence wasted right here. The guy has intelligence no doubt yet he can’t get it together and save his sinking ship. How many times have I came by and the office be closed and several clients out there waiting to see him with an appointment I forget but it was several. He’s in there, he’s just asleep folks. Trucks out back but office is closed up tight. Every time he went to court for my cases, I can guarantee you he’d be no less than 2 hours late. Last time before I fired him I told several people in court that asked who my attorney was I said to look out for “Otis” and as soon this guy pops in they all knew immediately. The wrinkled clothing, shirt tucked in here but not there and his tie I couldn’t even understand why would he even not buy a clip on one because he definitely has a real issue with the do it yourself ones. I’ve talked to several ladies that have worked there and it’s not the beer that we all think that’s doing the guy in, it’s something else is what I’ve heard but I can honestly say I haven’t seen it so I won’t put that here. What I would do here is ask you all that know how he’s taken your money yet did little to nothing with his garbage representation, is to file a complaint with the Mississippi Bar Association. Strength is in numbers. I actually have chatted with 2 more clients that he’s basically taken their money same as all of us others and has no remorse for his behavior when loosing the cases for whatever reason. He just blames it on us and I guess it makes him feel better about it. Again Mississippi Bar Association folks. When enough people want their money back and some form of legal punishment for what he’s doing and done this is the only way it’s going to happen in my opinion. Good luck folks

I honestly don't take the time to write negative reviews but I felt that I would truly be doing an injustice by not posting about the terrible experience I had with Starling Law firm. Maybe 2 yrs ago he was in a better state of mind but anyone giving him 5 stars recently has to be a friend & doing him a favor. I had the same experience as a few others on here have had. I gave Brian Starling a $1000 retainer to represent me in a case about a business deal. He requested I pick him up to go to the meeting. The meeting lasted all of 30 min & during that time Brian drank 3 beers & began to slur in his speech. I waited for weeks to get a call back about the case. I couldn't get him to reply to text or hardIy ever get anyone to answer the phone at the office & it was always someone different. I Never got a reply until I text him to let him know I had retained another attorney & he had such an unprofessional attitude & tried to turn the situation around as If I had done something wrong. I've requested back the difference he owes & he threatened to sue me saying I owed him more money. This was an unbelievable situation but thankfully I have an amazing attorney now that had the case going & people served within a week of retaining him. Please, don't waste your money. It's like playing the lottery here...most of the time you are going to lose your money.

He does not deserve a rating! Do NOT use this attorney! He will take your money and will not represent you fairly! All these other negative reviews are very accurate, I felt like I wrote them all! He is an alcoholic and I pray he gets help! It took me almost 3 yrs to get a divorce, in the middle of divorce with husband bringing other women into my home discovered he had terminal illness, my attorney did NOT look out for my best interest. He was NOT prepared for court and always drinking beer at every appointment I had! I did report to the bar association so please everyone else do the same, not sure what outcome was but see he is still active and I stopped hearing from the bar so do not understand but if enough people report they will not see me as a vindictive person. I am just trying to do the right thing and save other people.

Brian was hired to handle two separate cases for my mother. He was paid in full for both cases. Had I known how awful the experience was from the first case I would have advised my mother to not use him again. We had the WORST experience and from the looks of it we weren't the only ones. He does not respond. I have been calling and leaving voicemails since 2020. Not to mention going to his office and getting little to no help over the last couple years. Now his office is never open and has a paper on the door stating that current clients can not show up to the office without an appointment. The phone listed is DISCONNECTED!!! He never showed up to the first court appearance and never gave us any information as to where or when it was rescheduled. (This occurred both times he was hired.) I drove up 5 hours to accompany my mother and him. We then drove 3 hours to Greenville. His secretary called us 30 mins shy of arriving to the court house to let us know he was not going to make it. I was furious. I could not believe he'd done this. I explicitly told him and his secretary I was making the drive and he still had 0 consideration for his client. This man is clearly not okay and should not be allowed to pose as a lawyer. He is only interested in taking advantage of people in need of counsel. We may never get our money back, but I would like to warn anyone considering to hire this man. DO NOT DO IT!

I have written a review about Brian Starling stating his inappropriate behavior and misconduct on a previous post but I wanted to post again to ask anyone that has had money taken from Brian Starling & not received effective counsel or after giving him money you received no representation at ALL to please post your experience! So far we have 4 people that are going to call the Bar Association and file complaints against him. Anyone that has had any interaction with him can confirm that he is an alcoholic and most every if not EVERY meeting with him, he has a beer in his hand and drinks multiple beers in a short period of time. We may never be reimbursed for the money we gave to a man that gave ineffective counsel if any counsel at all but I am pursuing this because I truly do not want this to happen to another human being. People pay for adequate representation and they are not receiving it from Starling Law! If this happened to your mom, your sister or any family member or dear friend you'd be upset & you would want something done. Please join us in this stance to stop Brian Starling from these actions that are financially and emotionally damaging people seeking help from the legal system. God bless. Thank you
