If you are looking for a professional attorney that is easy to work with and get results, look no further ! David is by far the best attorney I’ve worked with. He helped me through a modification of an original divorce agreement and I could not have been more pleased with the entire process. Look no further if looking for a GREAT attorney.
David McWilliam has been my attorney since 2016. He is by far the best attorney I could ask for. Our case has finally come to an end last month. He got us exactly what we were looking for in the best interest of everyone. He answers emails quickly and makes them clear to understand. He’s honest and will tell you exactly what he feels is the best course of action for everyone. Brandi was always polite to answer any questions I may have had. I was always treated with respect and they made you feel like family. If anyone needs an attorney give him a shot, you won’t be disappointed.
This was my first time ever needing any type of legal counsel. Due to a recent move, I knew no one in the area and so recommendations were far fetched. I felt like this was a process that is similar to finding a new primary care doctor. You want that sense of protection, loyalty and trust. I found David's office close to where I was living and I do not regret anything about choosing his office and staff. They were extremely professional, cordial and knowledgeable about my situation. They gave you a sense of being a part of a family. They were very quick in responses to questions or concerns no matter how long after my final court date. To this day, I still reach back out to David for anything I have questions about. Highly recommended!
I was hopeful and in need of legal counsel. I contacted this law firm and requested a date to come in for a consultation. I didn't know what to expect, this being the first time ever needing legal counsel. My court date was a few days away so I was already pressed for time. I was given a date for a consultation. I arrived to my consultation with my kids. I was escorted to a conference room where we were seated and told to wait for a moment. After only a few minutes, the front desk came in asking about payment for the consultation and I was quite thrown off since there was nothing mentioned beforehand over the phone or at the front desk. I asked how much and was told $200. I was surprised to say the least, now I don't expect attorneys to not charge for their services but to be surprised like this when I have a court date a couple days away kind of puts extra pressure on to do this. I informed the lady that I wasn't explained this but proceeded anyways. I was given the consultation but there was no way I would be able to afford the attorney but she told me she knew of a couple others that charges "a little less than me"... I contacted the firm after a couple of days to inform them of the issue I found by not knowing that there was a fee and wanted to explain how it was for me and to hopefully ensure others are aware of this. This is what I had experienced by calling them: Natalie, the front desk lady who took my payment, blatantly asks if I wanted my money back, I was surprised that this was what she thought I was after, then hangs up on me, so I call back. Natalie answers and I explained how I didn't appreciate being hung up on, she tells me that I signed the paperwork agreeing to the payment and paid, "it's not like you had a gun to your head," is what she tells me, I request to speak to someone else. The next person, who I believe is Patricia, I very well might have these names backwards. I asked for both their names and was told that they weren't going to give it, I asked for the attorneys bar number, was told they weren't going to and ended the call. I wasn't given the information/information was withheld, I was given unprofessional attitude from both the front desk and manager... I couldn't believe this was my first experience with legal counsel... After looking for more assistance, I was given information to Legal Aid of North Carolina where I was afforded information for attorneys who provide free consultation, where I was able to find an attorney that worked with me on what I could afford. Was let down needless to say.
First and foremost, I just want to say how much I appreciate how great Aimee and David were during the hardest and darkest time in my life while going through my divorce! They gave me so much insight, encouragement and made me feel so empowered! Every time I saw Aimee, she was so warm and kind. She always made me smile and every time I left their office, I felt strong and like I had a voice for the first time in over a decade! David will absolutely go to WAR for his clients! I really appreciated how he intently listened to me, however, he didn’t just go with whatever I said or wanted- after all, you are filled with emotion going through a divorce. Rather, he always suggested what he believed to be what was best for me and my children. There was a perfect balance of consideration and helping me see the bigger picture. When I would start to get overwhelmed, he would bring me back down with assurance that everything would work out. And it always did! I got everything I requested when it came to custody of my children. If you want to feel heard, considered and confident in your case, I would, and have several times, recommend David McWilliam for your legal needs!
