Reviews

This review is long overdue. Mr. Day is an outstanding attorney. When I had the pleasure of speaking with him, he was incredibly knowledgeable and professionally empathetic. He patiently listened to my concerns, provided exceptionally clear and helpful information, and gave me confidence on how to proceed. His excellent customer service and strong attention to detail were greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend Mr. Day to anyone in my family or friends who might be in need of the legal expertise he provides.
I was hopeful about working with John Day, but my experience was disappointing. After expressing my willingness to pay a $5,500 retainer, I requested a written agreement. Instead of accommodating my request, he accused me of sounding "sketchy" and suggested I find another attorney before abruptly hanging up. I thought my request was completely reasonable, so I was taken aback by his response. In hindsight, I’m glad I didn’t proceed with him, as his attitude raised serious concerns. Overall, I cannot recommend John Day based on my experience. Your accusations are completely false, and it’s hard to believe someone in your position could be so dishonest. Not so much though, but It’s clear you lack integrity as a lawyer, and that’s truly disappointing. I never threatened you or said anything that you’re claiming. What you’re saying is completely untrue, and frankly, it’s absurd. You’ve crossed a line.
John did an excellent job representing me in my court case. I found him to be honest, fair and easy to get a hold of when I had questions.
Well i don't know how good he is but...I called to get an appointment to meet with him and he asked for $2500 up front. . I was like "so you won't even look at the case or tell me where we stand its just $2500 to see you"?? hahahahaha yes ma'am you can think about it and call me back...Okay Thank you hahahha. Updated 02/20/25: 5 years later this guy replies pretending to remember how "upset" I was at the time of the call hahaha. Maybe he did not take the time to read the review right since he is stating "ALL" criminal defense lawyers require a retainer payment "AT THE START OF A CASE". And affirming he offered information on how to apply for a public defender. I myself do not recall with this much detail the call, I mean 5 years ago is a long time to remember these details, but in my review it clearly says he didn't even schedule me or look at the case he proceeded with charging the $2500 in order for them to schedule the first appointment much less be offering "for free" to give information on how to contact or apply for a public defender lol. But the owner taking the time to reply to a 5 year old review just says how much free time he has on his hands lol.
My initial impression of Mr. Day was excellent. I am facing a BS charge from NMDGF and offered to pay Mr. Day the retainer up front. His response was to direct all contact to him, and we will discuss any retainer if there is a charge filed. That's true professionalism and client service.
