DO NOT give them money. I received many threatening emails from them, as well as calls. They got ahold of my EMPLOYEES personal emails and began sending them emails. They claimed I owed my insurance company money. I contacted my insurance company and confirmed that my balance has been paid in full for MONTHS. Listen to what other reviews are saying- ALWAYS call the people they are claiming you owe money to first to confirm. This company is a SCAM!

Sent a fake letter claiming I owed money for an insurance claim that I've never even heard about. Looking into it led me here. Seeing the multitude of reviews let me know my suspicions were correct they are scammers trying to get money and info out of you do not even contact them.

I just spoke with a case agent regarding a debt collection they contacted me about. Its the first time I spoke with anyone from this company. I was trying to explain that my disability and my hospitalization has caused me to fall behind on my mail and returning phone calls. I was only about a minute into what I was trying to say and the agent cut me off and said basically that they at Brown & Joseph just deal with financial issues and weren't interested in any medical items. She was very rude and I couldn't believe that she would be so curt when Im the one reaching out to their agency to resolve a debt from my disability insurance company. Im glad shes able to work. It must be nice. I had to leave my teaching position of 25 years because of the medical issues that arose 18 months ago. So far, I've had both hips replaced and have to have both shoulders and both ankles replaced. Along with simultaneously dealing with sn autoimmune disease that developed at the same time as the news that I had widespread necrosis in my body. I tried to call and speak to someone else and they kept sending me to her extension. I just played it off as I had another question to ask because I don't want to anger a person who is already very disrespectful and dismissive. Anyway, that is my experience with this company.

Received a voicemail about a debt for a service that I am not receiving. Idid not call them back. Instead I looked up their buisness license. The company license has been disolved 6 times. A buisness license is only disolved for 2 reasons. The company decides to shut down, or the state shuts them down for failing to comply with regulations. Given that the license was resolved 6 times I am going to bet the later.
