Writing a review for "Law Offices of Sun J Chung". I had a major problem with the IRS: during the COVID-19 pandemic, they were short-staffed, and must have activated a computer-based initiative (AUR, "Automated under-reporter") to detect under-reported income. The problem: the software could not match 100% correctly what income came from which source of income, and began collections procedures against me even though I had paid the taxes. I started calling tax defense firms all across the nation; they gave the worst possible advise: "Don't call the IRS, they won't answer. Don't respond to these notices, don't try to contest this in U.S. Tax Court, let the filing deadline pass. Hire us, we'll call the IRS, we'll take care of this for you." I was lucky that a neighbor referred me to Ms. Chung. Over two consultations she listened to the details of my case, confirmed my fears and suspicions, and encouraged me to work within the system to fight the unfounded charges.
