I am very disappointed with Tim Terry. I thought about this for sometime, I don’t usually write reviews even when I get poor service, however, his behavior was extremely unprofessional towards me. I read his reviews before hiring him. I saw one less than stellar review. I figured anyone can have a bad review. I hired Tim on for a flat rate for my divorce. I had to borrow money from my 20 yr old daughter, which I told him, because my soon to be ex husband had control of the finances. Initially he was okay, which is how he got money from me. Over-all he under preformed and over promised. He was lackadaisical in response to me as a whole. When we did meet with me in person, (and on the phone) he flirted, even in front of my kids! He would not stay focused. He was terrible about getting back to me in a timely manor. When he would eventually respond to why he was not responding to my inquiries, he would say things like, “So many COVID’s, pray for those with Covid.” Well, okay, but that does not explain why he could not call, text, or email me with the necessary information I was seeking. This was a standard response from him. He never explained how “so many Covid emergencies” had anything to do with his ability to do his job. In addition, after mediation, he sat on the paperwork for a couple of months before filing. There was no good reason or explanation as to why he dawdled. After pleading with him for several more weeks, to file, not that I needed or should have to explain myself to him as to why I needed to be divorced, (I am going to school and need to qualify for for school loans and couldn’t under my husband’s income bracket, and oh-I hired him to handle a divorce) he said, “Oh, I can have this done in a couple days, probably by Friday.” This was in December, mediation was done, and agreed to several months prior. If there was ever a reasonable explanation as to why he waited he never told me. I did call him out on his flirting. He never denied it, just acted like I never said it. He also said if my ex-husband failed to pay alimony on time, he would file a contempt order. Well, my ex-husband has lapsed in alimony, I contacted Tim, and he has not responded. I guess that makes him consistent.

Per my wife: "He is by far the WORSE lawyer I have ever come across. In 2016, I hired him for my divorce from my now ex-husband. During the whole process, he showed up late to cases and had absolutely no fight in him. He was literally run over by the other lawyer and I felt embarrassed. After my case, not once did I hear from him about my case nor to get my documents back. No phone call, text or email. For the past 2 YEARS I've been reaching out to him to get my original documents but every time Ive called, it goes to voicemail or if he does answer, he'll say to meet him at a certain place and then cancel at the last minute. Im entirely fed up and have sent a notice over to the Florida BAR Association. For anyone reading this, I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere."

Tim is a horrible attorney who took money from me and never did anything accept get me into a situation where its been over a year since I have seen my children and by no fault of mine. He encouraged me to do something that I have been suffering for, for 18months. I have since been able to afford a better attorney and I will be reporting him to the bar association.

Tim is an amazing attorney. He offered guidance and insight through each step of my divorce. It was clear, though the entire, process that Tim had my best interest in mind. He was able to set me at ease during some of the more intense moments using his quick wit and wisdom. Overall, in the end, Tim was able to help me and keep me protected, for keeps. I appreciate all he did, and all he advised me against. His strategy minimized the timeliness of my divorce, allowing me to move on safely and comfortably.

Don’t waste your money and most importantly your time with this lawyer.
