Turner Vaught Tax & Bankruptcy, LLC

First off I will say I would of selected no stars if I could. My husband and I went to Jackson to file bankruptcy. We moved to South Carolina and 3 months after the move my husband had been diagnosed with lung Cancer and due to all his medical bills that were not covered by insurance and the money we had to pay for during this 18 months took all of our savings and retirement saving. During this time we were unable to meet our monthly obligations, we fell far behind and it became impossible to see a way of caughting up. Originally we had another firm before Jackson, they strung it along until we paid two thousand dollars they did nothing for us. It took us a year to get the money together and only got a thousand dollars returned back. This is when we choose Jackson Turner Vaught on the advise of a friend. Same thing another year and half goes by, we did everything got paperwork and more paperwork and more meetings. I ask Jackson when is this going to end, it has been a year and half. It has been almost three years now. We had an appointment, we sign an agreement to file bankruptcy and paid more than $3,000. Now we are told we cannot do a chapter 7, only Chapter 13 and it will cost more plus a monthly fee. This whole time you are made to feel less than a person. Customer service was beyond awful, it got so bad I told my husband I can not deal with this anymore you just do it. Three days after I paid over $3,000.00 my husband and I decided we did not want to file bankruptcy, we decided we would deal with it ourselves. My husband called and said that we did not want to go through with the bankruptcy and wanted our money refunded. My husband was told, you don't get a refund "WE" meaning Jackson Turner Vaught "EARNED THAT". Read the contract the money is non-refundable. Just like the other Attorney they DID NOTHING to earn our money. As of the writing of this review I still have not received a refund. I have meet a lot of great Attorneys and then there are just bottom feeders that can not make money any other way than to take someone else’s when they are down on there luck and needed a helping hand. Beware of people and firms like this. YOU DID NOTHING AT ALL FOR US!!!! THERE IS NOTHING TO TALK ABOUT, YOU HAD 18 MONTHS!!! BOTTOM LINE REFUND MY PAYMENT. Carolyn Hunt

Lets start with the phone call I was told by robert that I Had to talk with an attorney even though I told him all I needed was someone to prepare two years of taxes and he would need a credit card to secure my appointment and it would be 350.00 for a consultation ok so I meet with Jackson Turner Vaught the next morning well after 15 minutes listening to the most arrogant person I think I've ever heard I told him I would do everything he reccomended and asked him when i gathered the paper work how long it would take him to prepare my taxes he told me he would not do them and we were finished so lets see 15 min conversation 350 dollar's and that's it what a complete rip off I will be disputing this with my cc company do yourself a favor and stay away from these ripoff artists
