I contacted Charles to represent me in my disability case. He took my case and helped me understand my responsibilities and prepared the appropriate documentation for my doctors to evaluate and assess my condition. He had me retrieve my medical records and worked with thru this lengthy process, he then met me at the courtroom and was by my side throughout the hearing. From the first day he was there to answer any questions I had (and there were many) until we left the courtroom. Because I did what he requested and asked the end result was a FULLY Favorable decision and won my case! While all cases aren't the same do as he asks and your chances improve greatly! If I had to do it again I would definitely contact Charles!

A guy called and was pleasant then asked to call me back because he need to speak to someone really fast that was beside him, 5min in to him calling me. Next he calls back 10mins later like he didn't just call me and like I was wasting his time. I suggest that other do not ask for assist or help from them, they are very unprofessional...

Would give 0 *'s if I could. DO NOT USE! He is VERY smart & knowledgeable about the Soc Sec Disability rules, regulations, he KNOWS exactly how to play their game HOWEVER...he's lost the concern, interest or intensity he use to have. Krumbein WAS good, 10+ yrs ago. Now, his office looks like a hoarder and you can OBVIOUSLY see other clients paperwork, names, numbers, Soc Sec numbers, account numbers, etc CLEARLY laid out right in front of you, completely legible on his desk. We called him MAYBE 3 times in the yr and a half he represented us and all 3 times it was as if we were a nuisance that irritated him and he let us know it in his tone AND words! He didn't even plan on a meeting prior to our ALJ hearing, we had to INSIST on it. Then his "argument" to the Judge was basically... well, nothing. We were SHOCKED! He had NO idea what was even in the medical records because he hadn't read them in order TO argue the case appropriately! He asked MAYBE a total of 4 questions. No shock, we were denied. Now, we don't blame him completely for the denial, we had one of the 3-4 lowest approval % ALJ's IN RVA however, in the decision it clearly stated that the ALJ sent Krumbein questions that.. HE NEVER EVEN RESPONDED TO for the job advisor. Furthermore, a different Atty may not have guaranteed an approval either HOWEVER, we feel VERY strongly that had we had an Attorney who actually knew and CARED about our case, we would have at least had A CHANCE with this anti-disability Judge! HE NEEDS TO RETIRE, BETWEEN ATTYS LIKE HIM AND THE 3 OR 4 ALJ'S IN RVA WHO HAVE A VICIOUS NEGATIVITY TOWARDS ANYONE WHO DARES ASK FOR THEIR MUCH DESERVED, EARNED AND MUCH NEEDED SOC SEC DISABILITY BENEFITS. They don't go looking into the case, records or evidence as "Should I say yes or no, Is it a valid case" NO, they go into the case asking themselves and specifically LOOKING for reasons, holes in the records for valid reasons they CAN say no. THEY END PEOPLES ENTIRE LIVES WITH ONE QUICK, EASY, VENGEFUL DECISION, NOT CARING ONE BIT ABOUT THE REPERCUSSIONS ON AN ENTIRE FAMILY....AND ATTORNEYS LIKE KRUMBEIN ONLY MAKE THEIR JOBS OF LOOKING FOR A WAY TO TELL SOMEONE NO, EASIER! HE IS A NICE MAN, A KNOWLEDGEABLE MAN BUT....HE NEEDS TO RETIRE! IF YOUR CASE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH ON IT'S OWN, HE WON'T DO YOU ANY GOOD AND IF IT IS, THEN YOU DON'T NEED AN ATTORNEY ANYWAY!

this man should not be allowed to practice any type of law . He is by far the worst. When he loose your case you do not here from him anymore. And if you need a lawyer for Social Sercurity do not go to him he will loose . My advise is to anyone who reads this do your research first and pick a lawyer who will be their for you the whole step of the way. This man sucks as a lawyer and he does not work for you at all. I have not heard from him since June of 2017.
