Please, DO NOT hire Mrs. Elaine Vadas as a lawyer. She charged me about 2,000 dollars for work (amendment for custody and visitation) she did NOT do. Two of the charges were subpoenas she NEVER sent to my ex and I have proof from my ex that she never received the paperwork. Mrs. Elaine talks a very good game before you hire her, but as soon as you pay, she is very hard to get in touch with, she does not do any work for you, and she expects you to make the phone calls to the courts, G.A.L, etc. She showed up 20 minutes late to court on the final court date and didn't even apologize to anyone for it. She constantly misspelled my name in every single email we sent to each other, and she charged me for work she DID NOT DO. I am currently in the process of trying to obtain my money back from her and she is, as usual, being very unresponsive. I will find out what I can do do she can't get away with this and do this to other people's because this is absolutely unprofessional.
