They’ll be honest with you and talk through their plan in court. They’ve represented us in a family court and a defense attorney. They’ve helped multiple friends and family and their rates are super reasonable!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this law firm and have sent all many people their way that feel the same. It’s also very laid back where you don’t feel intimated walking in and discussing your story and what you need. Which is a BIG deal for my social anxiety. Jacob was the worst attorney possible never answered or returned calls late to court dates didn't reach out and talk to anyone but had absolutely no problem taking my money for the very little he did nothing but a joke. I'd give 0 stars if it was possible.

I want to say that Mr. Van Cleaf did a great job on my traffic violations. Also, Ms. Amelia, his assistant was very professional and right to the point, the times I spoke to her. I still can't believe I got in total 8,000 dls. on tickets and all of them were dismissed. I will definitely give good references to other truck drivers about this law firm, if they get into any trouble when driving around the beautiful state of Iowa.

I worked with Colin for over 4 years while I navigated a nasty divorce, and then later a petition for sole custody of my kids. It was a very stressful time, but I am so grateful I had Colin and Amelia in my corner. Colin took the time to understand my situation before laying out what my options were. Gosh, where do I start? Jacob Van Cleaf, he is the most honest man I have ever met, he does not care if you are his client or the opposing team, if he thinks you are wrong he will tell you. He was exactly what I needed when I hired him the first time for my divorce in 2019. He did it for so cheap I was amazed and he did it for payments! There are not many attorneys around that do payments, he is simply amazing. I then had to hire him for a custody case and considering what that case entailed it was pretty darn cheap and once again he did me justice and when he thought I was wrong he put me in my place (just what I needed, too), this man helped me and the other team grow up and mature and now we have one of the healthiest co-parenting relationships possible. We even go out of town together and rent an Airbnb together and play games as a family and they have unofficially adopted my other child as their own. This law firm is what any person going through a custody battle needs. Jacob has also represented me in two domestic violence cases one of which he has been accused of lying to a judge and tampering with evidence which he did not this person consented to the protected order because he knew he was guilty of what I was accusing him of. Jacob would never do what this individual is accusing him of. And his office manager Amelia is great. She will answer any question you have that she can! I absolutely love these people!
