Unlimited Platinum Plan is not unlimited. I live in Florida and lost signal when it rains, and it rains a lot. No refund or extension of service for the time you don't use or the lost of service time. Again, The lost or unused time is not carried over to the next month or put into a bank for you. When my year was done (per contract), I was able to receive fiber internet service. I called on the 13th of June to cancel. Which was one year of having ViaSat. I was supposedly able to cancel without paying a penalty. Guess what, I was still charged over $240.00 for service even though I canceled. They told me the billing cycle started the day before (too bad). I never used a single bit of internet service, and they still took over $240.00. I had an automatic payment set up, and they had no problem taking funds from a service i canceled. When i canceled, i was advised that I would not be charged. Later, I received a box to return the ViaSat modem and signal head, and they wanted to charge me for returning the items. Customer Service doesn't care about the customers and could careless. I have been given the impression that dollar signs mean the most, customer service or helping a long-time customer means nothing. I lost a signal a lot, my movies buffered all the time, and if you are streaming, forget about working on a computer. In my opinion- stay away from ViaSat, unless you are like me in the past, living in a rural area and had no other choice until something better comes along. Then you need to fulfill the year contract, and even doing that, you can get billed because the billing cycle started. ????

No internet for a month. They scheduled 5 service calls and cancelled every one of them on their end. The 5th was the final. I asked for the service to be disconnected. I'm told I have to pay $255 to "early disconnect" a service THEY are not providing. Thus a breach of contract on their end. See you in court. Warning: this company is not in the business of providing Internet. They make their money off of service calls and early termination fees.

Buyer beware, the latency is tough to deal with. Additionally, the customer service is not good. I tried to cancel my service (I've been a customer for several years) and with 20 days left of my contract, Viasat would NOT pro-rate my month of service. Save yourself the disappointment and go with Starlink.

Well, I just FINALLY got so upset at the customer service that I will now be contacting MY legal representation. In the state I live, it is required that a person have at LEAST a LEA-b license in order to install or remove low voltage devices. As I have neither, it is ILLEGAL for me to do so. "Cesar" at VIASAT said that if I didn't remove it, they were going to charge me $95 for a service call to have a technician remove it. Now, they're trying to extort $95 from me. I asked for the information on the local install company so I could talk with them directly. Our install tech was perfection. He was very clean. Did an amazing job of installing our devices. Was very friendly and his customer service was impeccable. "Cesar" tried telling me it was "Quality Direc, LLC.". No such place exists any where near me. This is a lie "Cesar"! I have a witness transcribing the last 45 minutes of the conversation. We will be speaking with our attorney. The first picture is total length of time before THEY hung up on me. The second was me hitting numbers because they claimed the could hear me.

If I could give 0 stars, I would do so. Worst Internet service EVER with limited connectivity, horrible customer service, and purposeful slowing of Internet in order to make customer buy more data. With the highest plan, data still runs out after just a couple of days of regular Internet use and even when you have "data," the Internet is spotty and unreliable, leaving you unable to stream a basic Netflix movie. Paid over $300 for years for this awful service and am so happy to have Starlink now, which is only $110 a month for Internet that actually WORKS. ViaSat had me thinking all satellite Internet systems were the same, but Starlink has shown me I can stream movies and have reliable Internet with no purposeful slowing down of the Internet after data is used up or during "congested" times.
