In July of 2012 I was in a car accident that left me with a shoulder injury. I contacted at firm that will not be named but for 4 years they did nothing. I was then referred to Ward and Barnes! BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED! Mr. Ward took my case, pretty much began working on it quickly, and literally within months I had the first part of my settlement. Mr. Pittman took on the second part of my case, which was a doosie, and worked on it diligently. After a fairly decent fight back and forth with the insurance company, he managed to get a great settlement! One that took me by total surprise! I can only say how much I appreciate all of this firms hard work from beginning to end on my case. A patient paralegal there as well worked hard on very step as well named Kay! I was a client of Ward and Barnes after an injury at a local business. I had never sought out a lawsuit or ever thought I’d be involved in one, however after I sustained an injury that resulted in prolonged pain and interference with my personal daily life that I felt was due to gross negligence, I sought an attorney. After consulting with Ward and Barnes law firm and presenting the facts of my case and the nature and extent of my injury, we decided to file suit. My particular case was handled by an experienced associate attorney(Geoffrey Pittman) in consultation with both Mr Ward and Barnes, respectively. I cannot express how thorough, professional, compassionate and informed my experience with this law firm is/was. They never failed to keep me informed of the status, expectations and general flow of the case as it made its way to mediation. They always informed me of my options at each step and never tried to sway me to full litigation vs settlement. In the end we made a decision to settle during mediation and I was given fully itemized documentation of where all money/fees etc went. There are shady law firms that promise you the moon in hopes of getting a bigger payout for themselves. Ward and Barnes promised me nothing except their total commitment to getting what I deserved and allowed me to feel empowered with my case. I am completely satisfied that I got what I deserved in the end and while I hope to not be involved in another lawsuit again, I would have no second thoughts of retaining them in the future and would advise anyone to seek them out if they need expert legal help in the Northwest Florida area! As an aside, weeks after my case was over and settled and had already been paid my settlement, my attorney called me to let me know there was an extra $45 that came through bc of an insurance overpayment. The extra $45 was insignificant, especially considering the amount I received in settlement, however to me it speaks to the honesty and integrity of the firm in their commitment to ensuring you get every penny you are owed!
