Weeks Law, Pllc

I've been involved with numerous real estate transactions throughout my adult life, and hired Weeks Law for my last home (newly built) purchase in Calgary. I felt that this firm did a poor job and I would not recommend them. There were a number things that went wrong, from the new home warranty, to being sued by the original builder for outstanding liens on the property. While these issues do happen from time to time, I think they could have been minimized with competent legal representation. The firm also had a very poor understanding of new home warranties in Alberta. Beware!

Very happy with the closing of the purchase for our home. Dianne is fantastic and provided great customer service. Kevin was very professional and knowledgeable in all aspect of real estate. You don't feel like you just wasted $ on a lawyer well worth the expense. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking for a real estate lawyer.

Weeks Law handled my house purchase very efficiently and economically in 2010. Recently, I called again to ask some advice about a contractor dispute I am having. I was given what I think was some excellent (and free) advice for resolving the dispute without having to engage any legal service. I really appreciate the conscientiousness displayed by Steve, and I would certainly consider Weeks if I need legal services in the future.

I had Diane Mason of Weeks Law recommended to me by a close friend to help purchase my first house. After speaking with her on the phone on a Friday, she informed me she can easily by reached by email with any questions over the weekend. My three emails were blatantly ignored so I contacted her by phone again on Monday. I wanted to put on offer in on a place so I faxed a copy of the purchase contract in for her to review and that was the last I ever heard from Diane Mason

During the sale of our own home and the purchase of another, Weeks Law was mediocre at best. The made errors on the paperwork and did not seem customer service oriented at all. But the sales went ahead. That was last year and now there is a major mess up with our property taxes and the bank and the city keep saying to discuss with my lawyer. Well, my lawyer has done nothing. They have provided no help and then said I should go to the city myself and figure it out. I am appalled by this lack of service and the only thing I can do is suggest to others to find another law firm to deal with.
